This was the hood of a family members car. The inside was okay but the outside was really bad.

Sprayed 3d bdx on the hook and let it soak. Turned dark purple almost immediately. 3D already knows about it through their social media but dont know if the community would want to see.

Its a great product with low odor and an adjustable spray pattern.

Price is good at 20 dollars.

Damn, looks like a crime scene, just needs a chalk line!

yep bdx is good. For the price you get 24oz I believe for $20 while the rest charges you nearly that for 16oz..

I have used 3D BDX before and was very impressed with it, quiet product that flies under the radar

It does definitely. I really like the spray pattern that is adjustable. I use a fine mist as it saves a huge amount of product imo

BDX is a good wheel cleaner and seems to be a decent iron remover. In tests I've read IronX seems to do better at iron removal than anything else, but not clear by how much. I'd rather do 2 applications of something else than one of IronX based on the offensive odor. I also like Duragloss wheel cleaner. It has an iron remover but doesn't change color, so you don't get that visual indicator. It also doesn't have the odor.

Would really like to see some iron removal product comparison test. Not no idea how to measure it reliably and easily. One on Youtube from an Aussie, but most of those products aren't on AG or even in the U.S. Here's one from a few years ago on Autopia.

Wow, that hood really needed some decon! Thanks for the write up!

Down in FL you guys get bugs and maybe some rust. However up in NYC area you get snow, rust, rain, acid rain, pollution, fallout, tar, tree sap and everything. Its hard on cars honestly

I referenced that wheel cleaner test video in a different thread - that guy did a great job of comparing (imo). Wish somebody would do that with products we can get.

I hear you. I'm in Portland, OR. Different than New York, of course, but brutal on car products. Wet for months on end, sometimes very hard rain, some snow, ice, and everything else. Very different on products compared to being in a climate that's warm all year.
