Thoughts on DG 105

Thanks for the reply’s. I’ve been using coatings The past 3 years but find myself topping them after each cleaning...so I’m thinking about going back to a sealant. A big benefit was that the coating I used seamed to repel dust, especially on my garage queen. That is the reason for the dust attraction question.

Says here that DG 921 is anti static.

Duragloss Fast Clean & Shine Detail Spray #921

DG 921 works really well against dust attraction. I have gone from coatings back to the old standards of FK1000p and Duragloss. Both great companies that you get great durability for the price.
I just happened to be driving by the DG HQ today. Their building and sign are as bland as their bottles. But love the entire DG line.

With the last sale, I picked up 105, 111, 601, 921, AW and Repel glass cleaner / sealer. Weather permitting, the wife’s car (metallic black) will get a complete exterior detail. Thanks for all replies.

You will be set with those! You also might want to look into DG 271 and DG 253 to finish it off. I have come full circle back to 271 for all my trim needs. Odd name but great product. And at the cost you don't feel bad even applying to wheel wells.

Browsing the store I ran across the DG 105 for the first time.
Great reviews.

Right now I often use Wolfgang Glossy Paint Sealant.
What's the big difference?

Thinking about using the DG 105 and it's bonding agent in my shop.
Thanks,
Kevin
I can't really comment from a commercial perspective. I'm just a weekend warrior. But if I did open a detailing business the DG line would be a part of my arsenal. Check out Rippy D`s Sealant comparison thread. The DG line is right at the top in durability. I wouldn't feel bad putting it on a customer's car and have the LSP gone after one auto car wash. Although that might reduce the frequency of needing your services. But the overall durability for the price is outstanding from DG.

Will have to look into 253 and 271 once my Poorboy tire gel and BF trim are used up. I also have had for awhile but not used yet...701 and 801 - tire and wheel cleaners.

I would think so but #501 will if #105 doesn't cut it. #105 is heavy on sealant and light on cleaning ability, #501 is the reverse.

As far as wash durability, I've just completed a test on my truck and 501 lasted longer than 105.

This is after 25 washes:

501 is designed to protect boats. It has to be pretty strong to withstand those elements!

111, 101, and 501 are what I keep on hand. I should probably pick up some 105, but 101 seems to cover what it does..
