Based on the recommendations of a number of forum members, I bought a gallon of FK #425. I got it this week. This morning I tried it on two vehicles, a silver Jeep GC with M21 as Last Surface Product and a black Mustang with Megs Gold Class Canauba+. As usuall, the forum members did not lead me astray. The FK #425 delivered. Both cars were pretty dusty having not been touched in about 5 days. I used it pretty liberally, and used the two towel method, one to spread the liquid sprayed on the car and one to buff dry. The #425 worked as advertised. It leaves a slick highly reflective shine. I also used it to wipe off my clearcoated wheels. As others have said, what you have to start with is most important. If you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig. Both vehicles have recently been polished and sealed/waxed. In summary, I was very happy with the results. The FK #425, goes on easy, wipes off easy, and doesn't leave any streaks. If you miss a spot while buffing if stays slick enough that you can just wipe it off without repraying. It is reasonably priced. It looks like this will be my go to QD.
Thanks to those of you on the forum that recommended this product. You were dead on.:dblthumb2:

I agree. I just got chance to use it yesterday for the first time, too, based on all of the recommendations here. Put it on my pampered black '57 Chevy and boy did it wake it up!!!

Finish Kare 425 is a nice product. I chose a free sample with one of my orders and found it to work well and it did! :props:

You didn't mention the bubblegum smell! Were those cars sitting outside for 5 days? I always cringe a little when people say they QD'd days of dust off a black car...just be careful with that, it may not always work out as well as it did this time, especially in a month or two when the cars are getting condensation on them overnight.

Mike Phillips used to have a thread on MOL about when dust is safe to QD off...and that if you have had condensation on the car which has dried...then it's time for a wash (today that might be a waterless wash or rinseless). Anyway, not all dust is equal, so be careful!

You are absoloutely right. Normally I would never do a QD after 5 days. I would wash first. I wanted to give this stuff a real test. (I can pretty much take care of any minor damage I do, LOL.) That's why I spayed on much more then I would normally do with a QD. Thanks for your concern.
