in december i get the van , it will be a ford transit connect.
i already order an 70gal water tank ( i don`t have to run it full)
i do wanna mod the van and run all electrical in it , hi-amp alternator , 700ah batt storage with an 5kw invertor.
95%+ i detail al clients house ,but i do have few accounts that i may not have access to electrical and water , so i though a good setup will be a good addition to my services.
i wash most with onr , so pressure washer will be use at minimum.
i already eye an electric pressure washer , the extractor is on the way , the water pomp will be 12v
i think by going all electric it will be a good space saver , less noise , no gas and oil to mess with.
what you guys think...?
does any of you have a similar set-up ? i am interested how it holds when is loaded. i will do 5-10 cars max.
Thank you

Sweet choice with the Transit! I have nothing to add but just want to see some pics when you get it all set up.

I actually thought of using a transit. But, I ended up getting a Safari.

Here is a thread you may find useful. It's my build from start to finish basically. Lots of info in there. It's most likely not similar to what you're going to do, as a Transit is much smaller. But, still...good info.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions...I may be able to answer them for you. Good luck!:dblthumb2:

thank`s , i read it all over the last few days.
i am more interested into all electric type of set-up.
i may stop by a local store where they do audio install and see what`s their opinion about it. to have everything on switch and no smoke , noise and gas around sounds better for me.

i will try to picture and document the set-up.

Sounds good, man. I'd be interested to see that! Maybe I'll switch some of my setup up depending on what you find. :xyxthumbs:

sort of in a similar situation. torn between generator and an inverter

in kristopher's thread AG member 'gumbedamit' gives details about his setup. Of all the setups i've seen described online with inverters, this is pretty thorough and to the point.

again - not me - this is gumbedamit

Here's the list:

NorthStar Pressure Washer $650
5000 Watt Inverter $500
4-125ah Batteries $500
220amp Alternator $500
200amp Isolator $60
Cable and Misc connectors $300
Misc $300
