Timely product arrival!

Don't know exactly what Detail-Stuff you ordered for your Father during AGO's 2012 Father Day Sale...
But do you have any unopened, duplicate products (or other not-needed-right-away detailing supplies, for that matter) in your personal 'Detail-Cabinet' that could be, say, for a lack of better term:

"Re-Gifted"

If so...replenish them when your latest AGO order arrives...
And...If you do...I promise I won't be a blabber-mouth...Your secret is safe with me!!

Bob

Ok,
you are in my head! That's is how I'm handling it! There are a couple things I don't have (yet) that I ordered him but he will get a very nice collection of goodies for FD!

Here's an excerpt from Autogeek's UPS shipping terms from the customer service page on the website. I've highlighted the point of interest.

Please note that shipping on oversized, case lots, bulk items or heavy items may be higher than these prices. Due to federal regulations orders with aerosol items are not permitted to go air. Orders shipping within the continental US (48 states) must placed by 11:00 a.m. EST to ship out the same business day. Not available for oversized and custom items, hot water extractors, complete wash systems, special order items and vacuums.

The OP's purchase time was after the cutoff time.

Not defending Autogeek, but some of us should spend a little more time reading before complaining, especially about something that's being provided "FREE".

FWIW, until very recently the cutoff time was 2pm, eastern.

Regardless, things like this happen occasionally. AG may not always have the best shipping rates or carriers that best fit our needs sometimes, but they do have the best combo of products and expertise, IMO.

I have learned when to go AG and when to go elsewhere when the AG shipping either does not fit my need, or shipping may be pricier than I want to pay.

We have choices, and that is good. AG is my preferred go-to, but when it doesn't work, I order from another vendor.

Recently I got very frustrated because I missed the 2pm deadline (the old deadline), which pushed that weekends project out another week. I got over it. AG is still the best.

Your option is to move down south where the day time highs starting in a couple of weeks will be 100 + with heat indexes in the 110 - 120. I have to start cleaning up my cars by 7:00 AM before the blast furnace comes up. I envy you up there in Oregon where going outside doesn't mean having to take a bottle of Gatorade with you. I do get my Autogeek stuff much quicker which of course evens things out.

I placed my order saturday and it shipped Monday and ill have it thursday. I live in Illinois.

well, i too live in oregon and have bought thousands of dollars of products for years from ag. i know for a fact that they are taking longer now than a year ago to get here.

5-7 business days is more than fair for FREE SHIPPING, especially during a sale when order volume is high. I saw no "Have It By Father's Day" claim on AGs website, during the sale. If you want it sooner, use some of the money you saved to pay for expedited shipping.

So if there is NO implication that the products would be delivered by Father's Day, and the Sale was NOT on Father's Day but a week before ...... WHY CALL IT A "FATHER'S DAY" Sale?

Read my posts, I didn't say they should spend more money shipping it faster, I didn't say that 5-7 day delivery was not reasonable (by the way, ordered on the 8th receiving on the 18th, my math says that's 10 days:dunno:). What I said was if you are having an XYZ Sale, Have that sale at a time that allows enough time for the products to get there in time for XYZ .....

^ exactly right. If it's called a Father's Day sale, it should be delivered by Father's Day as long as you order before the sale officially ends. That's how every other retailer does it.
