Tint residue on back window

As the title states I have some very tenacious tint residue on the back window of my car. The tint (by previous owner) and the residue was never properly dealt with. I have tried the basic glass cleaners which work but at a painfully slow pace (i.e 10 minutes to clear a fist size area). Want to know a safe method given the defroster lines are back there.

I normally use 3M adhesive remover with a plastic razor blade. Stay away from regular razor blade or it will cost you a fortune to replace defroster.

Use a steamer.....it will remove it....that is wat we used to remove the back glass film.
