Tinted Windows Annoy Me

Tint also helps in the winter by keeping your cars cabin temps more consistent. If you've never owned a car with tint I highly suggest you spend some time in one and you will change your mind. I am of course talking legal tint here and not limo tint.

I remembered this thread today... dropped the car off to get inspected.
The techs immediately were like, "NO, we are not inspecting your car... it's too dark! There's tint everywhere!!!"

LOL- they were teasing, but they are kinda right... my tint is illegal (tho you can't fail inspection in PA for it) and my taillights are super dark.

Make it work people :dblthumb2:

As far as a waste of forum space, well I respect your opinion Dave but just don't respond to any of it then;-)

I've just proven to myself that I just can't seem to control my "Nebnosedness" and must waste just a little more forum space by re-replying.

There are a lot of comical replies in this thread, so for me (one who has never tinted) I guess it has comic value.

One of my friends operates a tint shop and he told me that his best customers are cops... tinting their personal cars.

Go figure....

Because they know they are never going to get tickets for illegal tint...professional courtesy.

That's the irony... some cops complain about tinted windows and they site for the reason of their safety which I can appreciate. But, they tint their own car just because they can get away with it? What about the other officer who might pull them over? Things like this makes me think that this is all BS and it is nothing more than a revenue generator.

Because that's all it is. Is for revenue. It really bothers me how cops can get away with so much just bc they're cops. But bc were Lowly citizens we get the short end of the stick.

My 500 dollars 3M tint keeps skin cancer away. Also help protect my leather interior.

BTW... we do know that most car windows come with UV protection from the factory right? Think transition lenses... they don't turn dark when inside a car.

Has anyone ever heard that tint laws save "the children" yet? If so, look out, that could be the next bumper sticker to replace START SEEING MOTORCYCLES.

Keeping your children away from the road saves their life. I can't stand when parents put out signs showing their kids are at play. I'm sorry but this is a roadway, not a playground.

It's cause you live in Ohio lol. Dark tint here in Florida saves your interior and keeps the inside cooler!

Thank you. There's some group of kids who play basketball in the street near my house. I've come home at 10-11 at night and they're out there playing. Why? First off its late and dangerous to be out playing. Second like you said it's a road for cars not for sports.

OMG I agree 100%

There's a couple in my neighborhood who walks their dog at 10-11 at night all the time! WTF?
Our street has ZERO lights on it and no sidewalk. It's very dangerous to be walking then.

You folks are killin' me.

Um...boys will be boys? Weren't you a kid once?

I guess you've never had a dog. You can't ask them to hold it from when it gets dark until it gets light. It's bad enough when you ask them to hold it from when you leave for work in the morning until you get back. If they are walking their dog at 10PM it's so the dog doesn't poop in their slippers overnight or wake them up at 3AM saying "take me out or I'll pee on the DVR!". That's if dogs could talk, of course.

Nope, I've had/have several. We never walk our dog that late.
I completely understand needing to walk your dog we he/she needs to go, but they go for loooooooong walks at night.

We save these walks for after work when there is still light out.

It's just makes me nervous for them... people drive way too fast on our street.... which is another story in itself (yup, I sound like an angry old lady here I know).
