After spending lots of time reading and watching all the videos I could find here, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips about using a PC or UDM on the curved areas and other more difficult places. All of the how-to videos usually use the hood or a door panel. While this allows the viewer to get a really good idea for the basic technique and the end results, it leaves me wishing I could see someone doing something a little more tricky, like where a rear end curves in before a license plate or other such locations.

most use smaller 4inch pads...or you just have to work a smaller area at a time..curves are not a real big deal for ramdom orbitals....just work the area the same following the contours of whatever area you are working...

How flexible are most pads? Will the "bend" to fit in places where panels are inwards?

Like orngez mentioned, going with a smaller pad will help you navigate the curves/corners more easily. Some places are just too tight/small to navigate with a machine, I'll just do that spot by hand with one of the gray/orange applicators.
