I tend to use either terry cloth or a yellow foam app. to do that area.

by hand is the best way i can think of that everyone can do. depending on what style of door handle, your abilities, and what tools you have will also make a difference. if you trust yourself and have a machine polisher(i have rotary) you can use the edge of the pad.

I do the BMW hand recess by hand. I use an old microfiber towel as an applicator and apply mild compound to the towel and use my finger to aggressively wipe back and forth (this works well because most scratches are from fingernails and are vertical). I keep working the product until the towel is warm (or my finger collapses from exhaustion), then apply glaze or Pinnacle XMT 1 with another portion of the towel.

Works great and quickly.

I've had luck with these by hand; PB Polish with Sealant; PB Professional Polish; XMT 360; Megs Scratch X.

Probably one of the few times Id go with XMT 360.

meghan posted some pictures a while back using XMT 4 and the wolfgang finger pocket things and she got pretty good results.

thanks, i was thinking by hand but i wasn't sure how effective it was going to be. Thanks!

Same method but I usually use SIP followed by 106 and then a sealant..works very well.
