the weather is finally cool enough in AZ to start using Cquarz UK. i attempted to use it a few months back and failed horrably due to outside temps. i have a customer coming in who asked for Cquartz UK to be applied to their black BMW 7 series. since my last failed attemp at coating paint i've stayed away, but now i'm getting requests left and right for nano coating so it's time to jump back into it.

are there any tips or tricks to applying CQUK to black paint, seeing that it will show every high spot and streak, plus the 7-series is nothing but big flat panels. i've read about people deluting the coating with water to help ease the application on dark colors, is this true?

Are you sold only to cq,maybe try blackfire so user friendly if your gonna use cq wipe on wipe off ,and of course the proper prep.

not sold on CQ, but i have 2 unopened 50ml kits siting at in my cabinet. i was thinking about trying DP, blackfire, or Opti-coat. does Blackfire have roughly the same longevity and durability?

You will be fine. Get it coated, pull it out in the AZ sun and look for the oil slick spots. It's not as bad as you are working yourself up to make it.

My advice; Do not rush, slow down work one panel at a time. Make sure you have great lighting, after you wipe high spots recheck with light. Move to next panel, no need to hurry, enjoy the process.

It all depends on maintenance,I used cq on a huge airplane the guy bought 800 dollars worth of cq,we had to change to blackfire it's easy peasy to work with,I even apply that stuff on cars in the blazing sun.Make sure the coating products in your closet are good.
