Hey folks!
I'm looking for a good combo wheel and tire cleaner. My wheels and tires don't get terribly dirty living out in the desert. I've been using Eagle One A2Z aerosol with excellent results once a month for cleaning. However, I can't determine definitively if it is completely safe and free of petroleum and silicone products which is making me think I need to switch. For my weekly in between monthly washings, I use Meguairs Quik Wheel Detailer which is ok for removing the light brake dust accumulation. My wheels are stock 2002 Corvette C5 clear coated polished aluminum wheels. They have shine using this method, but they don't pop like some stock wheels I've seen.
With that being said, I've been looking at the Wolfgang Tire & Wheel Cleaner as well as the DP Gel Wheel Cleaner. Both look to be very safe and effective. Is one better than the other and/or am I safe with continuing to use A2Z? For dressing of the tires, which I haven't done in the past due to the build up of product, I think I'm going to try Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel.
I'm also considering claying the wheels and then polishing and sealing with Poorboys Professional Polish and Poorboys Wheel Sealant. I have some haze and oxidation and want to get the wheels looking new again.
Does this sound like a good course of action?
Thanks!
Steve
