if you're referring to this one, i would not recommend it. buried at the top tip of the brush under the microfiber you can feel a hard plastic squarish point that can potentially scratch (especially when the brush is wet and flattened from water). had i known this i would of never bought one. come to think about it, i'm kinda pissed because it's not getting used like it should. hopefully, meguiar's is doing a rollout change where they remedy this if they haven't already...

Is it considered paint safe for rocker panels?
I just deep cleaned my wheels on a cold and windy day and every time i had to reach for carpro's boars hair brush in my soap bucket i was cringing lol This one floats!
I've been looking more at wheel and body brushes thanks to Yvan lacroix. Especially for front grills, wheels and maybe even rocker panels, bumpers.

Hahaha man I feel you... I have the same exact CarPro brush and my only negative is the sinking. Seeing this one float is a plus for sure.
Since we're on the topic though, I wonder if anyone knows the difference in like safety between boar's hair brush and those black soft ones (like detail factory brush or the carpro one). I'm never quite sure which one to use, like I use the black soft one for paint but then if my wheels are painted.... I tell myself I should use it on there to. I'm curious what everyone uses?

Yeah it's just it never ends you know.... :laughing: I had 2 boar's hair type brushes at first, then detail factory came out with those really soft ones, bought one, and then bought the CarPro 2 brush kit which also came with a even more softer feeling black brush and the boar hair. Just not sure which application is correct and if it matters at all, my understanding is the boar's hair ones have a bit more cleaning "power", based on how they feel. I guess I'll prioritise the soft ones for paint and keep the boar's for like engine bay or door jamb.
But agreed to for swirling... I only use brush in intricate areas so probably won't even be seen. And I like to use a microfiber wheel mitt for most of the face of my wheel. Shouldn't think to much about it... I'll go crazy lol
Wheel mitts look good but just for me i want to limit my hand hitting water. And if i have to use good gloves - to stay warm to wash my car it's just not fun anymore...lol
i basically know what i need, a long handle wheel and body brush. Most are 9 inches long i think from what i read..don't see many talking about those kind of brushes here. It's all LSP stuff.

Exactly! I was helping a friend wash his rig yesterday and he assumed that's what it was made for(to do) lol I thought $hit! what a great benefit! Now my boars sit waiting for premium cars only. This brush is super soft! I wonder if they made it with wood for this exact dilemma we always have reaching for a brush!
Probably crap quality though. Who wants to test it?

The price compared to detail factory is significant.
The detail factory brushes do look nice but i need a good interior scrubber personally. That brush is for some high end maintenance detailing lol
It does look very nice for sure but in the meantime i will use up all my old microfibers for the interior lol
But if i didn't have a bunch of stuff the detail factory brush with a scrub ninja type product would be all i ever would want.
I used the Tuff Shine brush for a long time and never felt the need to change to something else. However, the DF version is simply better in every way. It's not light years better, but the small changes add up to nicely evolved product.
I like it so much that I bought a second one for cleaning rubber floor mats. The extra give in the bristles seems to be better at cleaning despite the softer feel.
Love the 3D MaxSpiders.

I bought 2 for $12 with free freight. They were at my door in a week! I use 1 for tires and other one for interior. There identical to the DF Curve ball!
