Tire Dressings

Just to confuse the issue, I'll add another very good one - Prima Infinity. Definitely a top dressing there. It has polymers - so you can watch your trim & tires bead if they get wet. For conventional dressings, I'm either using that, Bold n Bright, or OptiBond.
 
Thanks do yall use just a regular tire app or what do yall use to apply it that will last and wont make a mess?

Eagle 1 tire swipes. They last along time and work well.
 
About the slinging, if you apply the dressing then go back with an old MF towel and wipe off excess, that goes a long way to keeping it from slinging.

I have a couple of old mf applicators that use to be for wax that are now my tire applicators
 
Poorboys Bold and Bright is my favorite tire dressing. It seems to last longer than most I've tried and realy eaves the tires looking nice especialy after cleaning them with Tuff Shine. I've tried several tire dressings in the past and now just use Poorboys Bold and Bright.

Yes more than likely it was the product you were using. When I use Pinnacle Black Onyx, it doesnt leave the applicators looking like a mess like other products. I cant say for sure how many cars you can apply this to, but I will say that a little goes a very long way.

Bought this per your review and waiting for it to be brought to me overseas. Swanic It'd be better good now, it be better good.:props:
 
I'll support SwanicYouth on the Prima Infinity. It goes on smoothly, leaves a satin finish rather than high gloss shine, and a little, thin layer goes a long way. It doesn't sling and lasts several weeks.

Ultima Tire and Trim Guard is also excellent, and in my experience was slightly easier to apply and a bit better longevity.

However, I'm currently using the Tuf Shine Tire Clearcoat. You gotta use the Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner first, repeatedly. Then tediously "paint" the Tire Clearcoat on. But it does last MONTHS.

Absolutely, but it totally changes the look. I love the binding wet dripping shine

First off, thanks for the thumb up on infinity. I saw Swanicyouth's review on it and really liked the shine on his tires, he also said it lasts a long time too.:xyxthumbs:

And then, why 'Unfortunately Hawaii'? I'm gonna land myself there one of these days and plan to stay for good! Besides the high cost of bread and milk, no other place on earth match it.
 
I've been very happy with Optimum Opti Bond and have been using it for years now. Let it dry for 15 minutes before driving after application and have never had a problem with any product slinging.
 
DP tire gel is working well, I like it better than carpro perl. I haven't had any sling issues, I apply with a sponge applicator I think from turtle wax. If it snows or rains it loses its look some, but the initial look till you get bad weather is good. 2 applications it's pretty shiny and pops. I think most of us are on the hunt for the perfect stuff.
 
I wonder if Tuf Shine could be used to seal a tire sidewall, and then use a glossy product on top of it for cars shows that could easily be removed afterward?

No. Silicone products (not silicone based dressings per se, but products with silicone in them) mess up TS.

However, a waterless wash, like Pinnacle or IUDJ, makes the tires have a nice glow.
