Does anyone have a tool they use to apply tire dressing to a tire? I use Wolfgang tire dressing and some sponge like tire dressing applicator. But the more I apply dressing to the tire, it's all over my fingers. It cleans up okay with mechanics hand liquid soap, but- short of wearing gloves, does anyone have a tool that applies a dressing to tires but cleans the hands somewhat clean? Thanks-

Do a google image search " tire dressing applicator " there are a lot of nice ones out there, but as they are not sold by Auto Geek I will not list them.

But maybe they will start :)

Did some checking

Griots carried some thick blue foam pads for tire gels. They work super, not sure if they still have them.

I use foam wax applicators, cheap and effective.

I have some blue applicators from griots. Havent tried them yet but they look good

Best tire applicator I've ever used is the one that comes with AA Extreme Gel. Awesome awesome applicator with the grove and design.

I've been getting these blackened 'halos' on my driveway (which is black, but not that black) from spraying Meguiar's tire dressing and was wondering about switching to gel with a nice applicator also, to avoid these driveway issues.

What this kit from Meguiar's? I was thinking about giving it a shot.

I like to use the ones from Carrand. They have a nice plastic hand grip and usually guards from product getting on your hand. You can pick them up at pepboys or advanced auto.

I personally hate the gel applicators without the groove and form that the AA one does. It allows perfect thin spreading and working in as the product stays in the groove, and not moreso just smeared around. Makes it easy to work into the tire. Guess thats why they call it a gel control applicator lol

Thats a simple fix. If you want the groove you can always cut one in with a knife. I use the AA applicator too. But I sometimes get product on my hands like the OP.
