just use one of those cheapo foam swipe things from autozone. 6 dots of endurance is plenty for me to completely coat my tire with product. granted i only have a 40 series tire, so it has a somewhat lower profile than most tires, but hey, an additional couple of drops should suffice if you have a larger profile.

I don't buff the tire afterwards.

Cool, thanks. Yeh I wasn't sure what they were talking about when using a towel, guess they put it on too thick and tried wiping it down or buffing, from which I understand will turn the towel purple and the substanve is kinda hard to get out.

Just my 2 cents, I used Meg's Hi Gloss Tire Gel. xlnt results, but it does get a little messy, even w/a cheapo tire swipe. Voted for Mother's FX, very easy app by spraying onto a tire swipe, then buffing easy onto tire. Long-lasting results, no slinging, no complaints.

For the folks who are finding the Meg's endurance gel messy, I would respectfully suggest that you may be using too much product. I start with a nickel size blotch on a tire appliactor, and smear it around with my finger before applying to the tire. For each additional tire, I add another dime sized blotch, and again smear it around with my finger before applying to the tire. Never had any issues with messiness.

I think I use a lot of the Meg's gel, but it isn't messy. Certainly way more than 6 dots like neo, but I guess I'm fine. Mine came with an applicator and I put a line in between each groove.

Armor All extreme shine gel--good product!

I've used this a couple of times and it works very good! Takes a while to put on, but after you do and wait a few minutes, the tires will turn black and very glossy. About the only armor all product I will use.

Durability? It dries to the touch as well, right?

it's quite durable, lasts a long time. Not sure about the touch--I didn't feel it after applying it, but it sure looks wet!

I'm still experimenting. Tried the foaming aersols (cheap brands), blah. The Black Magic gel, yuck and man does crap stick to it! Just bought the Meg's Endurance gel that smells like grapes, gotta try it today, but i htink the smell alone will make it work for me! Probably order up the PB, as it seems everything I try form them seems to work better for me than most others.

I have only used Zaino Tire Shine, but I am open to ones that may leave more shine.
Zaino's is awesome. My only complaint is it isn't shinny.. Only thing is every one I have tried that shines slings sh!t all over my car.. That crap aint easy to get off either..

Are there ones that don't sling crap on the car, but have a little more shine..?:D

Aerosol Products:

I have found these store bought products really work best when used in the wheel wells to dress them. (Just dont do on windy days, and short bursts versus long sprays)

Zaino Tire Protectant:

I have used the product and it truly is more glossy than just matte, but not quite as glossy as I like. I know they suggest using addtl coats to offer addtl gloss, but never found that particularly true.

I love three gels from us for super glossy looks, DP , Pinnacle, and Wolfgang. That said all will sling if you do not properly provide a dried surface to adhere too.

1. Dry tires with leave blower as possible, pay additional attention to the decorative ribbing.

2. Use a microfiber or cloth applicator with the gel.

3. Revisit each tire with a clean applicator to remove any excess about 5-10 minutes later. (I keep two round cloth applicators in and old wax can. The bottom is one used for gel, the second for revisit -- because the one on the bottom is full of gel, never place it on top position of it will transfer to our cleaner revisit applicator)

In the few times I've used the new Armor All Extreme Shine gel(orange squeeze bottle) it produced a nice gloss after about 5 minutes. It doesn't shine at first(which it states), but man does it gloss up later. To keep from slinging on your car, try wiping any excess with a towel after it soaks in for a while. I've always used the store name brand stuff and have never used the "pro" stuff that the detailing sites sell. Any thoughts on the pro stuff? Which seems to be the best product, from medium to high gloss? Thanks.

I wouldn't consider "pro" but maybe above consumer products, but the Meguiar's Endurance Gel works great for a lot of people on here. It won the poll on best tire products. They even have a glossy version if you want extra gloss, but the regular formula works for me. I'll post a pic later on today to show you.
