I'm a new member here...hello all! Any suggestions for tire/wheel cleaners? How do I know if they are safe for alloys? Thanks!

Wheels -- P21S (its the safe choice)

Tires -- Amazing Roll-off

Welcome MASERATI nut to the forum.........:welcome:

and I would go with P21S Gel cleaner for your wheels and ARO for your tires. Hope this helps you out......................

P21S gel. If you can afford a Maseratti, be sure to invest in THE BEST wheel cleaner out there.

X100000000

P21S wheel gel...spray it all over the wheels inside and out then go do something else for 15-30 minutes then come back and clean the wheels. Most you have to rinse off in 30 seconds.

The PS21 Wheel cleaner is that good?? I was gonna use the poor boys SPray and rinse Wheel cleaner on my MErcedes ML55 AMG Alloy wheels. I get real bad brake dust on my wheels. I wanted something safe but agressive. Is PS21 Wheel cleaner better??

Ok supercharged thanks. Should I use the P21S regular or gel? )Bordering on anal here), and why? Sounds like P21S is the cleaner of choice for a lot of you guys.

I personally don't care for P21S unless I'm doing a very delicate wheel. Your Maserati wheels have a powercoated finish and won't get damaged from an alkaline wheel cleaner.

One of our neighbors just got the new GranTurismo Sport. Love the way it looks. The Quattroporte is cool too, nice presence.

A agree with David. However, if you maintain your wheels properly and apply sealant to them, then all you should need is soap and water.

I just bought a bottle of p21s. Can you give me the pro and cons of its use

I must ask this question. How is this wheel cleaner sooo good that it is to be used on the more expensive wheels as opposed to a lesser dollar amount cleaner? What's the big diffeence?

Can be used on any wheel surface, can let it dwell for hours. The bad thing is its not very strong.

The big difference is the chemical make up (acidic vs. alkaline) of the product and the finish on the wheel.

unfortunately some find a wheel cleaner that needs agitation to mean it is not harsh enough. A wheel cleaner like P21S is safe enough to use on the delicate uncoated high polished aluminum wheels and can still be used on chrome and other surfaces that can take a bit harsher product. Unfortunately alot of these "other" products use acid and lye as a base and can also damage wheels over time. I use it on my OEM Cadillac Wheels with the same great success and safety as my Iforged Custom Wheels.

IMHO all wheel cleaners require aggitation, even HF acid. Unless your wheel has super light soiling you'll still need to do more than just spray and rinse. If that's the case, why waste product when just hand washing will suffice.

:whs:I couldn't agree more with your statement. If these wheels are to be cared for so carefully then why not just use soap and water and then you know it(the rims) won't be harmed?
