Tires 101

I just ordered some Tufshine tire clearcoat yesterday to apply on the new wheels for my wife's tahoe. I am probably going to apply it tomorrow, and can get you some pictures once I get it applied and it is dried. Here is a pic of the tires right now.

I am very interested in seeing first hand the results on brand new tires. What will your prep steps be. Will you be using a tire cleaner prior to the Clearcoat or soap/water only. How many coats have been applied. Before/After pictures.

Thanks!

If this is true, and I'm not saying it's not true (just asking a question), then... Why don't my Tuff Shined tires turn brown? Since, they haven't been scrubbed clean in 10 mos???

Could be a number of factors. If your sidewalls aren't exposed to the air then the reaction would not take place, so no browning would occur.

These tires got TuffShine clearcoat on them. Tires were brand new and recieved 2 coats after a thorough cleaning. I will try to find a before picture.
You will be happy with TuffShine.

How come no one asked how he was cleaning the tires??

Will also be getting
http://www.autogeek.net/chemical-guys-wheel-guard.html for my truck wheels that are PVD coated.

I used purple power to try to clean off all the layers of Hot Shine on my car tires but I know learned that probably added to the browning affect.

Just trying to get better at something I enjoy doing.
