Hello all,

New guy here. I'm outside using my PC 7424XP for the first time. I'm using Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover, and i'm getting alot of polish dust. Is this normal, or is my technique at fault? Probably my technique, just need to get some info from you all.

Thanks for any help you can provide!!

Are you cleaning out your pads 'on the fly' after every section /every other section. How much product are you using per 2'x2' area?

Kinda....I'm spritzing the pad with some Showtime, then turning the PC onto 4 turning int on, and rubbing it into a towel. Then I spritz the pad again with some showtime before putting the TSR on.

I'm putting a small x figure on my pad of product.

once the pad is primed, you only need 3 pea sized drops for each 2x2 section. An X each time is too much

Thanks Tim!

Is it ok to be spritzing the pad each time as well? Thought this would be good to help spread the TSR around.

Thanks All!

I use TSR a lot and have never gotten heavy dusting. All polishes will dust if you work them too long, use too much or don't clean the pad. I spray the pad pretty heavily with a QD (diluted DP NR) and then hold against a terry cloth towel at speed 6. I don't think you're cleaning it much at 4. Also, only use 3 - 4 pea sized dots per area and work it for 8 passes (or until it turns clear).

I only spritz the pad with some ONR & distilled at clay lube dilution before I prime the pad actually. I don't even spray anything before or after cleaning on the fly.

Thanks for the good info everyone. Going back out and try some more. Almost time for the finishing glaze now.

Also do not try and polish in direct sunlight, the panels will be to hot and the polish dried up real fast. If the panel is to hot to hold your hand on for a few seconds its to hot to polish as a general rule of thumb.

Yeah, I used to do it that way too. Then I found that spraying with dilute DP NR when I was cleaning helps get the pad VERY clean.
