I applied 3 coats of KSG a month ago or so. Waited approx. 12 hrs. between coats and now when I wash it and dry it off there seems to be smudging in spots. I use a QD when I dry. Was it too much product??
Any suggestions?
Thanks

What type of QD do you use? Did you use it between coats of the SG? If it wasn't a synthetic/acrylic product that bonds well with the KSG it might have caused issues with the layers bonding to each other. When using Klasse, I stick with the Sonus products to prevent any issues.

The smearing might have come from applying it to thick. With SG, if you can plainly see it when applying, you're putting it on too thick.

I've also found tempreature can greatly effect how easily the stuff goes on; below 60 or above 80 and I've had issues buffing it out.

Klasse AIO (red bottle) has chemical cleaners in it and cannot be layered. Klasse SG (silver bottle) can be layered and best applied very thin and evenly. If you want a spray booster or quick detailer, then consider the acrylic products offered by Sonus.

What if you put a wax over the Klasse SG? Can you use any type of QD with good results?

I love using KSG AIO followed by 2 coats of KSG in the silver bottle. I use an acrylic detailer with it. I have Sonus and Chemical guys acrylic detailers and I don't have any problems so I don't think you went too thick. Mine looks like it's dipped in glass.

I make QD out of rinseless wash and mix in about 2 oz of KSG into the gallon I make. Although I don't have Klasse on the car currently I have and currently do use this mix for QD use w/o a problem at all.

As far as smidging goes, well it could be applied to thickly, so because of this I must ask you Bicycle, how are you applying KSG to your car? I'm glad you waited 12 hrs inbbetween applications, this is crutial to success w/ Klasse.

Subscribed.

BTW, you can never have too much Klasse!
