I am curious, do you guys have a tool box in your detailing arsenal? I mean, do you bring screwdrivers, ratchet set and the like with you on detailing jobs?

If so, what Tools do you actually use and for what purpose?

Have there been situations where you wished you had brought a specific tool?

I am debating adding a toolbox to my kit but I already have so many things, I can barelly fit everything in a car and I am not planning on getting a van before spring.

I have some basic stuff like screw drivers, allen keys & a ratchet set. I primarily use what is needed to remove license plates so I can clean behind them. I dont't remove anything else on the car.

Ya that is what I was thinking off. Was just wondering if other uses could come into play that I had not anticipated.

Thanks.

The more tools you have the better. You never know what a customer may be willing to pay you to do.

I have a hair dryer in my tool bag. I think heat guns are dangerous near cars so I prefer not to use one. Hair Dryer will do the same thing but takes a little longer, on the plus side it's almost impossible to damage a car with one.

I work from home and this is one reason why. I have all my tools an hand. For some customers, I will top off wiper fluid. I have a customer within the next few weeks that wants me to replace the tail lights for him.
