Top 3 Favorite Detailing Products

See I gave my list and I love my list but I don't know where I'd be w/o:

1. CarPro Ech2o...the very best RW when you wanna clean AND boost Gloss and peotection

2. Griot's Garage Brillant Shine rinseless wash...the VERY best RW when you just CLEAN

3. Eagle Edgeless microfiber towels...all of them, making RW, WW and application of various sprays easier.

This thread has been a good follow and just about everything is rock solid and some forgotten products have made the list I see

I just want to know which one dries the car better.

The PFM gets mad love from forum members.

If I remember correctly fly07sti the MF king wasn’t a fan. He actually likes LM sucker the best. Not available on AG.

Eldorado2k likes the gauntlets, as well as the PFM’s if i recall.

I won’t buy the sucker as i’m not fond of Scott (the owner Dallas Paint Correction). Was gonna order one as I wanted a marolex foamer but found another vendor.

From what i’ve read the gauntlet has strips of teisted loop and plush MF towels. Early reading said it was design to work well with drying aids.

As Klasse said order one of each. You’ll probably like both but let is know what you think

So was deciding between a big boi and an Ego to dry my car. Thought about pain in the ass my Toro chorded was to use and setting it up to use. I went ego 650.

Would you say ego blows water off just as well? Wheels too?

I feel the Big Boi might be slightly, and I mean slightly, better at inlaid lugnuts. But honestly I reach for the Ego about 98% of the time. It blows water of equally well. I actually gave my Dad a 650 for his birthday to blow dry his car even. I was showing a buddy the Ego telling him (Grand National owner - those black cars with loyal owners, lol), and was blowing water off his daily driver. Honestly I feel it has alot to do with whats on the vehicle (coated/sealant/wax), if it has little protection on it no blower type is really great. Exact opposite with a nice coat of something.

The Big Boi is nice, but you have a great blower as well, don't give it a second guess.

Yup, I just picked up 2 more 20x30” Guantlets. They were only $12.75 each on sale which basically made it a no brainer. Good drying towels.

The Notorious Dry Towel and PFM are a step above but it’s expected since they’re beefier towels. That’s the main differences between them. It depends whether you like a lighter towel or a thicker towel for drying. I like both styles.

Sometimes I’ll use the Guantlet as a quick detail towel on a vehicle that’s finished but has been parked outside for a few hours waiting for the customer to pick up. Only downside is that it’s grey so you can’t really tell when it’s dirty.

When is somebody going to make a White drying towel? I have a white waffle weave, but I’m talking about a plush 1.

Would you say P&S paint gloss is similar to Adam's brilliant glaze?

Two very different products.

Paint Gloss is a quick detailer with no added protection, Adam's Detail Spray or Meguiar's Last Touch would be similar products.

Those are all great products, although I've yet to use Ech20 but it's on my list to try. Griots RW is fantastic.

I'm torn between using a RW for interiors vs a dedicated interior detailer. I've been bouncing back and forth between ONR @ 256:1 and Gyeon Interior Detailer. Both work very well.

As much as I like trying new products I'm a minimalist at heart and only like to have what I truly need. I don't like clutter and having a ton of products.

I can appreciate being a minimalist but adding Ech2o to your collection will be a "game changer" and I know that phrase is thrown around for everything but it certainly applies here

I add about 2 ounces to 4 gallons of water for doing a RW. It's a little tricky used as a WW but it can be done, an extra buff is usually required with WW application

You can stretch out Ech2o like crazy....I still have so much left I feel Ill never go through it all

It sounds like the Sio2 part of it is really only there as a friction modifier, rather than laying down protection. That's how I interpret it.
