Top Gear America on the History Channel

I'm in the camp of "it's getting better."

I think the biggest improvement has been the filming and editing. Certainly the first show, and a couple after that looked like they were just shooting with consumer grade HD cams and didn't have that signature Top Gear look. That has certainly improved, as well as the audio. If you watch TG and the TGA, the difference in the editing and quality of the camera work (even though it's the same producers I think) is night day. As I said it is getting better.

The first few episodes, particularly the in-cabin cameras shook so badly you could barely recognize the driver, that doesnt happen on TG. I'm sure part of it is funding as there is no way the budget for TGA is even a fraction of TG.

I'm sticking with it for now and see if the host's interaction and film quality improves. I'm looking forward to this Sunday's episode of driving the 4x4's through Alaska.
