hey guys

i'm mike, fairly new to the whole detailing scene. I've been in to cars my whole like and enjoy taking care of the ones that i have owned. washing my car has always been a weekly thing for me since i got my first car. now its more of keeping the car looking new, and i love it.
i got a GG 6in orbital for Christmas last year and have really gotten in to polishing and such. so any help or advice you can offer a newbie like me its much appreciated.

cheers

the legend Mike Philips himself thanks for that post. ill def watch those movies asap. i had done some research shortly after receiving the orbital and got some products. i currently have 5 lake country 6.5 in pads, 2 orange, white, black and yellow. i picked up M105 and M205 because i heard they were relatively easy to use. but i have heard that honda's have a softer clear coat ( my personal car is a honda) so i dont think i will be using the M105 on my car because i think it might be too much of a cut, would this be correct? for a wax and sealant, the orbital came with GG one step sealant, dont really know much about this so i picked up some 845 because of the good reviews and easy use for it as well.

if there are any other suggestions im all ears

cheers

You'd probably get a quicker answer in the polishing forums?

I don't know myself I'm a complete novice. I've only hand waxed a couple times.

I'm relatively new to detailing too, but more information is needed.

What condition is your paint in, and what do you hope to accomplish? Keep one thing in mind - it's always best to start with the least aggressive pad / polish combination that you think will yield the desired results, and if you don't get the results you want, move on to more aggressive pad / polish combinations.

Good luck!
