I used tide but i find that dedicated microfiber soaps doesnt leave suds or soap residue on my microfibers as much as tide does. I tried different amount of tide and it always leaves my towels soapy , no matter the amount of cycles. 3d soap does a better job and in the long run probably saves me money as i only have to do one cycle instead of 3 .

Do you possibly have an HE washer? I have a traditional washer/dryer and even when I use the max fill line on the cap the suds are usually gone within a few minutes into the wash cycle.

If anything that’s the only thing that’s always been a minor negative with all 3 detergents is the short lived suds in the wash cycle + how bad could soap residue from a clear & free detergent possibly be if it’s clear & unscented?

Also, there’s 2 varieties of Tide Free & Clear.

This 1, which is probably best if you’ve got a baby, like an actual baby…

And this 1, which works better for actual deep cleaning like we need for our microfiber towels.

I don't know about gushing, but I do like Dr. Beasley's microsuede products. There are only a couple companies out there who even make products for microsuede/Alcantara, so I appreciate the fact they put their toe in that niche area. So far they have kept my interior looking pretty good.

I’ve always used Folex for cleaning Alcantera. Works great in every way. It’s clear, strong enough yet gentle, unscented, doesn’t require rinsing, doesn’t even require scrubbing.

We currently have Kirkland, free and clear from Costco. It produces tons of suds. Even some suds during first rinse.

I recently got some Folex to clean the fabric seats in my daughter's car and liked how well it worked. I picked up the Dr. Beasley's years ago when I bought the car, but it's good to know Folex will work nicely when it runs out. Thanks for the tip!

The key with Folex is to not scrub it with a nylon brush, it somehow works worse if you do that. The directions are the key to great results with that product. Just “rub” it in and mop up the mess. Works like magic.

It’s good to wear nitrile gloves for the rubbing it in part. The heavy duty textured ones.

For most cleaners, the adivce is to clean by spraying and then blotting and not agitating Rubbing supposedly can push whatever is being removed deeper into the carpet/fabric. But, I have been known to rub anyway. This is how extractors work.

Foams cannons probably and ceramic coatings are way over hyped. Especially in America. DIY claims some of there coatings last a lifetime if maintained....

There’s no way I would ever pay almost $100 for that MJJC pro foam cannon that looks identical to the ones priced at a fraction of the cost. I’ll take the one 1 paid $16 bucks for over that cheap MJJC anyday of the week.

What the heck does MJJC even stand for anyways? Overpriced Chinese junk.

I was actually refering too using foam cannons in general. It's fine but it's gotten a little out of hand. Everyone wants to see foam. I find it a mess.

I actually like using the foam cannon and haven’t washed a vehicle without it these days. I’ve always been of the mindset that suds = better cleaning power and more lubricity so I’m all for it.

Well IMO foam just dwells/lifts dirt away and off of the paint, thus making the 2BM wash safer and easier

The way foam is marketed is the problem, it's directed at amateur hour

RUPES polishers would be my #1 pick. I could take a nice vacation for what I spent on that garbage

There are way to many misconceptions on ceramic coatings.

Foam cannons are great to use. I use almost everytime. I believe in runny consistancy. Thick foam to me is counter productive

I don’t really have a problem with the price, it’s the stupid pronunciation that gets on my nerves. I call it a Roops, I don’t care it’s Roops.
From this point forward maybe I will call it DOOKES, cuz their product is straight up bull crap

So, is it the price or your quote below..........................

I will never buy another RUPES polisher (i own 5) . The representative of that company (Todd Helme) is very WOKE.
For that reason they get no more of my money

So, which polisher do you have?

The price isn't necessarily the problem. I can write that off my taxes.
My problem is their reliability.
As previously mentioned I own 5 RUPES machines (1 has been loaned out to a friend for 5 years) another is the LHR75 that I've only used 1 time. Having to wrestle a air hose doesn't work for me.

That leaves 3. Of those 3, two are currently down. I suspect the problem is the trigger on both. One of those two I sent in for repairs 3 years ago to have the trigger replaced (and its already broken again)

The only one remaining that works I just pulled out of the box a few months ago but Ive only used it 2 or 3 times.
(My thoughts are maybe I should sell it before it becomes a expensive paper weight like the other 2)

In the meantime I went back to using a rotary polisher (often ask myself why i ever went the da route).
The rotary really cuts down on the time I spend polishing and always gets great results
I currently have a Dewalt, makita and 3 flex rotary polishers.
Of those 5 I only use the Makita and the 3" Flex (unless im doing gel coat then i use the dewalt/wool)
I also have 2 flex 3401's.
My only complaint with that machine is that it eats backing plates like a Fatman (me!) eats donuts

I hope you can make sense of this. If not lmk and I'll try and explain better

Almost forgot. I own 2 GrIots machines.
One is the "new" 6" (that I had to fight to get warrantied) still in the box
The other is the original 3" that is next to worthless. I haven't touched that machine in 10 years.

I use to be a big fan of Griots until they changed their warranty policy. As far as I'm concerned they have ruined their reputation by doing so.

What is the new policy?
