Top Secret Car Collections!

We have the honor or working on and viewing some of the finest cars in the world and we would love to share pictures of them but at this time I'm sorry to say our hands are tied.

Petersen Museum - Grand Opening
We know everyone loves pictures. I'm normally really good at taking and sharing pictures. As it relates to this project however it's out of our control.

A staff member from our TV production crew took a lot of pictures of the work being done at the Petersen Museum to the 4 cars we detailed for our TV show. But the Petersen Museum has requested, and actually demanded that no one shares any pictures of the cars or our work until AFTER the grand opening which is tomorrow at 4:30pm.

Private Car Collection
Yesterday Bob, his daughter Kristen and me had the very rare privilege of touring a private car collection. As a normal protocol I asked the owner's son if it would be okay to take pictures and he politely said "no".

I wish he would have said yes because the collection was simply amazing! But I'm sad to say all we took away from the collection was a great time and our memories.

Second Private Car Collection
Today we're visiting another private collection and I will as if it's okay to take pictures and if they say "yes" I'll share them tonight.

Sometimes we're just limited due to privacy concerns by the people and organizations we work with...

:)

Its that level of integrity and trust that will continue to pay dividends down the line.

Would love to see what you can share with us, Mike. In addition, i can perfectly understand when the owner does not want them shared or even taken. Your character is beyond reproach, my friend, and you are considerate enough to ask first and then honor the owner's request.

It is character like that from the top of the heap that galvanizes the character of this forum. Thank you.

A little jealous here..Your very fortunate to have such an honor offered to you and very professional of you to respect their wishes.. Sometimes collectors do not share what they collect with others but their are a few who enjoy sharing.. When I first met my wife, she told me she had a private collection of cars, to this day I have never seen it,,, I believed she fooled me.... would love to see the pictures also if possible.

Sure, would love to see some pictures.

Are you allowed to tell us the cars that were in the first collection you tease?

Yes please Mike, I would love to see some pictures. :dblthumb2:

Today we were invited to take a private tour of the car collection owned by Bruce Meyer. Bruce was on hand to talk to Bob McKee and myself as well as Tom Kenny the Director of Operations.

I didn't have time to take notes so when I could I took pictures of documentation around the car to share the story.

This is the number 1 AC Cobra production car owned by Carrol Shelby

One unique feature about this Bentley is that the sides are covered with leather and maintained with Pinnacle Leather Conditioner.

1965 Iso Bizzarrini
This incredibly rare Iso Bizzarrini won its class at Le Mans in 1965 and finished in the Top 10 overall. The car was designed and built by Giotto Bizzarrini. Giotto Bizzarrrini was previously the head race engineer for Ferrari at the time. He left during the Palace Revolt to build his own interpretation of a race car.

Thanks Mike. Looks like I have to revisit the museum again. It's a great museum.

Being a race boat fan I really enjoyed this classic race boat on display...

Anyone want to see more pics?

:)

Awesome pics of some great cars! Do you have any of that Porsche race car in the background? Maybe a 935 or something similar??

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing these pictures with us Mike, & yes, please do share some more . . . :props:

Amazing whats out there, what has survived & been preserved for people to view & enjoy. Some beautiful machinery on display there. Love the race boat & the Iso is a real treat to see. Not alot of people have even heard of an Iso let alone see one in the flesh. Only a few weeks ago We stumbled across two in a motel car park whilst walking home. One Iso coupe & the other a four door saloon - unsure of the models or years but at a guess, they would've been late 60s, early 70s. Beautiful.

Like yourself Mike the boat has my attention. Am I seeing a dual overhead cam supercharged four cylinder from 1929?

Bruce is a great guy and I'm glad he has the means to preserve these historic cars.

The Porsche is a Kremer. If I'm not mistaken, I believe Bruce traded the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum an historic early Indy car they wanted for the museum for this car.

I think the black roadster is the historic Doane Spencer car. Early and important hot rod from the '50's.
