Het guys, today I was preparing the car for colder climates (Canadian winters will come soon enough) on my black non-metallic Cadilac CTS with:

Pinnacle Shampoo
Dry
Pinnacle claybar
Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Regular (I'll do a swirl removal in spring time as this is my daily driver always parked outside)
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

It's my first time using the sealant because I wanted to try something more long lasting. This summer I used Zymol Destiny, Pinnacle Souveran (both paste and liquid), Swissvax Concorso and all were producing great gloss.

I can say that it was very easy to use and buff out the Wolfgang Sealant. More dusting than I expected but not a huge deal. It does help hiding minor swirls which is a plus. Surface is super splick. The big downside I noticed is the gloss, on my black non metallic paint the difference is very noticable compared to carnauba waxes I used during the summer. The car doesn't shine much with the sealant.

Any recommendation and feedback on topping over the Wolfgang sealant ? Would topping with something like Souveran over the sealant would bring a gloss like the Souveran would normally do directly after the surface prep ?

thanks guys ! Feed back please

for the swirls try WG swirl remover and then WG glaze THEN paint sealant. This will take care of it. To top it off Fuzion, poor boys, or 845. Im sure others will put in there 2 cents. hope this helps

thanks for the info. I already have the sealant put on as of today. I will only remove swirls (no webs, just straight lines here and there) in spring time because winter is tough on the paint here.

I do have a 3oz sampler of Fuzion that I could try over the sealant to see if it will give some shine over the sealant. I'll keep the Zymol and Swissvax for spring time but for now I could try to top the sealant either with Souveran, Fuzion or maybe with the Autoglym HD that I also have. thanks again

I topped my WGDGPS with Fuzion. My protection for Michigan winter is 2 coats WGDGPS topped with 2 coats of Fuzion. shine and gloss are very high. I have a black car only its

metallic paint. You mentioned Souveran. I would top it with that. Probably would'nt last thru the winter but when its 10 degrees outside theres not much time to admire a "sub par" WGDGPS shine. Good luck:xyxthumbs:

Souveran will add additional wetness and depth often associated with nuba products. Its a great topper on many sealant.

Hehe that's true... thanks for the tips, I'll apply a second WGDGPS coat before doing anything else on top of the sealant. Then I'll try a layer of Souveran on it.

Last weekend I decided to top the Wolfgang Sealant with Fuzion instead of Souveran for extra protection. It really worked well on my black raven non metallic paint. It really made a difference and gives more shine over the sealant, very noticeable. As always I'm very pleased with Wolfgang and Pinnacle products !

I've been using LS over WGDG for two years now and it definitely adds depth/wetness - and lasts quite a long time. I do 2 WG and 1 LS on a garaged car and it gets me through the NY winter no problem. If there are any wash days left after this and before the cold I'll hit it with Pinnacle souveran spray or WG spritz sealant.
