I did an application of CQuartz on an old 5 spoke wheel after machine polish and Eraser. After a day I applied Griots Sealant, Meguiars Ultimate wax, Wolfgang Deep Gloss, and Chemical Guys V7 Hybrid Sealant on 4 of the 5 spokes for testing.
CQUARTZ is really not slippery compared to waxes and sealants and I just wanted to see if anything would "stick" to the coating. After I wiped off 4 different sealants from the spokes, I found out that the Wolfgang was the most slick, where Meguairs was the least. It might have meant that the Meguiars didn't really stick to the coating....
Surprisingly the CG V7 was able to produce good slickness on the coating.
I happened to have Eagle One spray nano wax around and applied that to the 5th wheel spoke and it did nothing to the coating.
What I needed to do is to test how long the sealants would last on the coating. Going to wash the wheel and clean it with Eraser and see if the coating is still slick.
I know it's the best to use Reload but before I get some, it would be interesting to know other alternatives.
