Hello everyone. Im Carlos, and after purchasing an 04 G35, I find myself wanting to learn how to properly polish/wax my car properly. At the moment all I use are some over the counter products like meguiars NXT. At the moment I only want to get my feet wet by understanding which products to use for maintaining my car, its not like it's a show car, but want the finish to last. I look forward to learning a lot from you guys here (like what would be a good starter set:xyxthumbs:)

Thank you

Hi Carlos,

Welcome to Autogeek Online! :welcome:

A good way to get a starter kit would be to call our Customer Care Hotline and tell them the condition of your car's paint and if you're working by hand or machine, they can then guide you to the best start kit for you application.

Another way would be to start a thread in Auto Detailing 101 and describe the condition of your cars paint, like does it have swirls and scratches, or does it need to be clayed, etc., and then the forum community can guide you to the best product for the condition of your car's paint and how you do your work.

Figuring out what to use starts with,

  • Evaluating the condition of your car's paint
  • Deciding what your goal is?
Then you match the products needed to take your car's paint from where it is now to where you want it to be.

Do you have an electric polisher or do you do all your work by hand?

"TK421"........do you all remember where that came from?

Nope, I don't think that's it. Here's a line from this movie........."TK421, TK421, why aren't you at your post?" It's from a VERY, VERY famous movie.
