FOOLED YA!!!!....actually, it's the Black Countach below.

This car had a bunch of mechanical work done and I'm detailing it for delivery Saturday. Lots-O-Swirls and scratches.

So....this is a black laquer paint (single stage) and I used Meguiar's #83 because it has oils and is a pretty gentle correction product. I also experimented with some Meguiar's Color X because of this paint and I know Color X works well on older black vehicles.

The correction work is pretty much done and tomorrow I'll power wash it to remove splatter. Then I'll probably put a nice coat of Souveran to really add depth to this classic beauty.

Toto, that is one AMAZING vehicle you got to detail. Looking fantastic.

Must have been a royal pain with all those curves, vents and spoilers, right?

Awesome work as always... never disappointed when i open up your threads. that car is ugly though.... looks like a cheap piece of plastic!

I'm sure it will look great when your done Toto. The American market front bumper sure was ugly on the 25th aniversery Countach. The european bumper looks so much better.

You crack me up, I thought you were finally doing something other than black :D Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to see the end results.

Love the Lambo! So what did you used after Megs #83? #80? Or did #83 got the finish ready for the Souveran.

So do you get to do the Diablo too? :D Great progress so far Toto. Looking forward to the finish product. The Souveran will look great on it!

wow nice! I loved the Countache when I was a kid.. Hope to see the final shots soon!

I'll finish the car this morning (Friday) and take some decent shots.

P1et: It's a ROYAL Pita to work on this body! Plus, I don't have the luxury of a nice Snap-On lift to raise the car, so the bulk of the time is kneeling or laying down on a concrete floor. (the shop owner is contemplating a lift like the one I use at the BMW shop).

Bonifax: the 83 was worked to LSP ready, so I'll add a coat of Souveran Paste following a power wash and inspection this morning.

blk45: I'd "love" to do that Diablo..it's in for some service work and I inspected the car's finish: flawless! But, the owner might want me to apply some product for winter storage.

The Anniversary Countach has a clutch that is a monster...and driving that car to move it around in/out of the shop is pretty demanding.

I'll post some finished pics tonight!

Off to work...

Wow, you mean someone actually takes care of a nice car?! :D

FINISHED!

I finally finished this car this morning (and waiting for a return of the W12 Bentley for paint correction).

The Lambo owner will pick up the car in the morning...he should be well satisfied with this job.

There's a little product to buff off on the front fender (driver's side)

This car has an aftermarket exhaust (more like 2 empty coffee cans) and is LOUD!

Wow Toto I just love to see your work, it's remarkable! Those reflection shots blow me away!! Thanks for sharing!

Awesome as always Toto! The customer should be very happy.

Looking good...

when do you get your hands on that redilicious one?

Reflection pics was superb Toto

Toto, looks very nice, as usual. I could only wish to put out the type of work you do. I am only a few years in the making, but with time, I hope to be half as good as you. You are a top notch re-conditioner, and one of my Favorites! You are one of the true detailers that I look up to for inspiration! Keep up the good work!!
