Started the June lineup of Bimmers (and one Acura trade-in). Also, I ordered some Menzerna compound and Glaze. Very impressive stuff. Right now, I'm in-process using it on a BMW 330Ci which is Silver. It's tough to guage how well it's doing for a couple of reasons: First, the car is in excellent shape and, Second is, it's silver. I have a Black 745i to do and that will be a great test. It's at the BMW dealer now for some warranty work, so it will be next weekend before I tackle that.

Here's the Acura: Trade in and it was in poor shape, paint-wise. Lots of scratches from brush washes. Compound with wool + glaze with polish pad + 3M Ultrafina SE for the final.

After cleanup, the interior came out very nice

Next up: a 330Ci Coupe with sport package in Silver. This is the car I'm using the Menzerna on.

Pretty good reflection shot for a silver car. The product finishes down nicely.

Very nice toto! Love your work and write ups. I can say the Menz Compound is one I will need to add to my collection. Great depth for such a light color!

Reflection was great, looking forward to the darker BMW.

Very nice Toto! I like your cart full of detailing stuff.

Very nice Toto, the reflection shots are wicked.

I too look forward to the darker BMW...I love the work you do Toto.

Thanks for sharing.

this shot really shows quality of work on that paint. Great job, Toto! Two thumbs up!!!
Just Compound and Glaze? no wax or sealant?

Just those 2 products so far. When I complete the car, it will get a coat of something. Usually, the shop standard is Meg's #26, but I might sneak a coat of Wolfgang DGS on this car.

I'm only doing the hood/roof/trunk and 1/2 height on the body because the dealer is getting a rocker panel re-painted. There is a nasty scrape on the bottom of the panel and he doesn't like to sell a car with that scrape (it's a tribute to him IMO). So, it doesn't make sense to finish that portion of the car until the painting is done.

Here's a few more pics of the Menzerna product use. So far, I've just compounded and used the glaze. I really like the glaze product! It's not like the 3M stuff that you work down until it's almost gone. Menzerna works and works...and keeps working. It leaves a haze that you wipe off with an mf towel and some QD. I could almost stop at these 2 products, but will put a coat of #26 on the car for protection.

Enjoy the pics folks!

I have a Black 745 in the line-up and THAT will be a good test for the Menzerna line.

BMW in Germany will probably try getting you over there soon..

Great work, and the black one will def be a great test object

Excellant job Toto! For a lite silver it really does have some great reflections.

Once again you have done an outstanding detail. I look forward to your posts. You must love your job.

Very nice Toto, I must agree that Silver is looking really good. The reflection is very nice.

Oh when I saw this picture I had to look twice, check out the pasanger side view mirror...hahaha I thought it was busted hahaha...it's not right? I just cant recal ever doing that to a mirror my self that's all.

Thanks for sharing. I haven't done a black vehicle just yet so I'm not sure how Menzerna holds up so I'm really looking forward to the results with Menzerna and black colour.

Nica: I do that to the mirrors so the rotary pads will polish underneath that housing area. It's a touchy area and you have to constantly watch the location of the pad because you can easily burn some mirror edges.

Nice job , but are we still using the feestool?

Oh yeah, still using it. When I put the car on the lift tonight, I'll start on the bumpers and lower rocker panels. I have to wait for the painter to finish on of the rockers that is scraped underneath. He is going to sand and re-paint that portion, so I'll have to tape and protect around it for overspray.
