Towels and Quick Detailers

Hi all!

So, I have 2 questions for you all. 1.) I cleaned out my towel tub today and found several towels that I forgot I even had. They were at the bottom of the bin, and I honestly can't tell if they are clean or not. Is there any kind of test to tell? Or, should I just wash them all? Will that remove any contaminates?

2. Are there any good quick detailers for dark cars? I have been using Meguiars which is good, but didn't know if there was something better that would give the paint more "pop"?

Any thoughts?

the "pop"doesn't really come from a quick detailer. the quick detailer just enhances it i think. that pop comes from polished paint with a good lsp on it in my opinion

i would just wash all the towels
 
As far as the towels, smell them. If they smell like any chemicals then they're dirty. If they're light colored towels you can also hold them up against the light in the room and see any soiling through them.

:iagree: Also, if they were at the bottom of the bin there is no telling what has migrated down onto them.

overnight; then...wash them the next day.
2.) Meguiar's M34 Final Inspection
is an excellent detail spray:
It'll allow the true condition of the
paint come popping through...

Is the M34 ok to use as a quick detailer (removing dust, fingerprints, light contamination, etc?)... basically, a between car wash paint touch upper..
 
1) It wouldn't hurt to wash the towels, as long as you wash them properly just to be on the safe side.

2) I am a big fan of Wolfgang Rinseless Wash concentrate diluted to the detail spray ratio for all colors.
 
Working on a rv with dirt mud and gravel and had to chuck 6 micros in the garbage.No matter how careful you are working in a crappy condition by yourself this is bound to happen.Next job like this I'm tacking on 50 dollars for this promblem.For planes I tack on 60 bucks for ruined micros.
