Trading my 2013 Toyota Rav4 ltd for a 2014 Honda Accord EX-L V6 ---- Thoughts????

Going down to Mazda tomorrow to test drive the Mazda 6 :D

We'll see how it compares to the Accord…if I like it more, i'll get it.

Especially since it's much more affordable!

And yes, i'm still keeping an open mind….

Well, after some more test driving today, looks like I may be getting the Mazda6 Grand Touring instead of the Accord.

If you can handle the financial hit, then do it.

It's better to lose a grand or two in one shot then be unhappy with your current vehicle until it "makes better sense financially" 5 years from now.

Now if you did this every year or two then it would be different....

What made you choose the Mazda6?

I also vote for the Mazda6, soo many great reviews on the new models. If it had a v6 version I would consider it further.

Nick, I hear what your saying and believe me brother, this was a difficult decision given the fact that I actually do like my Rav4.

Especially after all the mods I did to it to make it my own…

I will definitely not be trading this car in anytime soon…this vehicle will be with me for many many moons to come.

4bidden, 1st the handling and performance of the ride is much more superior with the M6. surprisingly, to me it was just an all around smoother ride. Of course there wasn't the power that the v6 accord obviously has, but the 184hp was definitely enough power to get around other vehicles doing 70 on the freeway.

The M6 is definitely not a slacker

2nd the interior lay out in the Accord is kinda flashy to me and i honestly don't like the shiny black piece with the spots that on the dashboard and door panels.

The M6 on the other hand is very solid and smooth looking. no eyesores and everything flows….very well thought out designs on this vehicle inside & out.

GenesisCoupe…..a V6 M6….now, If they came out with one of these within the next coupla years, I think I may trade again.lmao :D

hahahhaaaaaaaa

They used to have V6 Mazda6's. Wonder why they got rid of them?

Oh, and i forgot to mention, since i'm asking for the grand touring with all the bells & whistles, the ONLY two colors they have anywhere near me within two states away is either Soul Red or Snowflake White Pearl.

I kinda like the Sour Red given it's a Deep Metallic.

So yea, I may end up with a Red one.

How easy is it to spot swirls with this color paint? Anyone?

Decided to go with the same colors as my Rav4

M6 GTi Grey Metallic / Black Leather

My other half will be getting the M3 GTi in the Soul Red/Black leatherette. ;)

I requested that they DO NOT WASH either of them upon arrival since these were specially ordered and have to be freighted.

We are driving out to Phoenix this weekend to pick them up. Stoked!

Hi there everyone…. so I bought my 2013 Rav4 Ltd last year in August, and even though i am happy with it, I am not in love with it.

There's way more room in it then I'll ever need and i'm not a huge fan of all the black plastic exterior cladding that seems to take up a third of the vehicle. lol

The other thing that has always irked me is how high it sits….

I've been wanting to get some coilovers to drop it a few inches since day 1, but never got around to it ….and now that i'm having second thoughts about the vehicle, I don't want to put anymore money into it.

Just wondering what your thoughts are and whether you would trade if you had the option?

.
I would do it in a heartbeat.that was gonna be my next car but the two closest Honda dealerships got horrible reviews.
So I'll have to stick with Hyundai

That was the problem we had as well taters….

We have two Mazda dealers that are right here in the same town as us but the reviews for them are seriously negative for both..

So we decided to go and give them a shot anyways and right away we felt like we were being scammed and lied to.

So we decided to get back on line to do some more shopping around and we happened to find a Mazda dealership thats a good couple of hours away but they have excellent reviews and actually treated us well and never once tried to scam us.

So now, our cars will be here tomorrow morning and we plan on making the trip all the way out there to go and get them.

I would much rather be inconvenienced by a long drive to find a good dealer then to find a shady dealer who is conveniently close.

And fwiw taters, I would NEVER go with another make & model car just because the dealership close to you is negative… instead, make a trip out of it and find another dealer with better reviews and then that way you can still keep the car you originally wanted and not have to opt for something else
