So, we got another winner here lol. This Jetta sat in an apartment complex for 3 years in the same spot with a blown motor all the while being hit daily by sprinklers using recycled water. Starting to get the picture here? To say it was rough would be a severe understatement. This car chewed up two brand new clay bars before I got to the correction. Correction for this car was M105 on LC orange with the PC using KBM. Followed by Gloss-It Extreme cut on LC orange. Finished with M205 on LC black. LSP was Collinite 845

Very nice work what did use to remove stripes?

Very nice work what did use to remove stripes?

plastic razor blade + goof off. Then rotary and twisted ply wool pad and M105. It was so deteriorated, it was a nightmare to remove...took about 5 hours.

I'll bet you had two bowls of Wheaties before tackling that restoration!

I can just imagine how much crap and debris were stuck to the paint after sitting all that time. The before photos were shocking but the after photos were amazing!! :props:

Nice work!! :dblthumb2:

"3 years...same spot" Well done, and thanks for the details on products used. How did you get into the area around the door handle? That's tough for me, especially when this thrashed...

Great turn around! The car looks sooooo much better :props:

Goodness, those trunk shots made me cringe. You saved that little car's life. Great job.

what did you use to clean the rear license plate area? Also how did you clean the area beneath the door knob area.

Amazing results!
About how many hours did that take?
