My client's Lexus LS460 has tree sap damage on the hood, roof, and trunk. It looks like the clear has been eaten away and can be felt by your finger. I know pics are needed for more help, I will do that in a week when his next maintenance detail is due. But for now, any ideas to correct these problems? I first thought of wetsanding then compounding/polishing. Any ideas? Feed back please

Are you sure it's the clear coat your feeling when you run your finger across it ? Maybe some left over tree sap is still on it personally I have never seen tree sap eat away at the clear coat you might be able to wet sand the parts just a little to take the edge off this way it won't be that noticeable I would be very careful and make sure the customer knows what your trying to do before he blames you for something your were just trying to help with
