Tree sap on a tonneau cover?

I am working on a 2001 S10 Extreme and it has a tonneau cover on it that is loaded with pine sap. Any idea what would work to remove the sap from the cover?

I'd try Stoner's Tarminator - or turpentine. Turpentine will work best. Test in an inconspicuous spot as possible. This will dry out the tonneau - be sure to follow up with 303. That's the only product I use on tonneaus and landau tops. Great durability and outstanding UV protection.
