Tribute to President Bush

The only thing I have to say, is no matter who is in the office, they have a long hard road ahead of them to try and shape this country up...

And personally if McCain won and died I know I wouldn't want that dumba... errr... Palin running the nation, she just seemed way too, I don't know, just never set right with me intellectually...

I know what your saying, she doesn't have the experience like Obamma.:D You saying she's a dumb hillbilly or what?
She doesn't talk like you? I don't know what you mean? intellectually... ? The more you can BS doesn't mean you can do the job. Big words mean nothing, action is what counts.
The man that won is full of talk and promises. The ball is in his court, will he deliver? Only time will tell. DC was affraid of Palin anyway.

All I know is he screwed up traffic for my area so on day one he isn't doing so good. I hope it gets better from here.:D

Is it just me, or did the presidential limo look like it had be lowered--were
those spinners I saw?--just kidding--hope he does well for our country.

Man you are on a roll tonight with your posts.

After spending all day with 175 9-12 graders, I needed to unwind.

img, I seen the same thing with the limo. Are you saying you're a teacher?

What you need to worry about now is the next 4 years. The closing of Gitmo, working on the Talibans bill of rights and anyone else that wants to kill us. In the future you will see who's rights will be under attack.
You forgot the complete dismantlement of our 2nd ammnendment rights we now face.

At leasst he balanced the budget while getting serviced by an intern. Can you say surplus?? Good thing he didn't get punked out by the chinese like Bush did either. Man Bush, go get your airplane.
There was no surplus. You realize the US was $5,727,776,738,304.64 in debt the day before Bush was inaugurated right? 5,711,817,746,476.20 a whole year before that. I don't mind blasting Bush on his debt accruement but the country was started on a 10K debt and has never in it's entire history not had a debt and it is just irritating that the kool-aid drinkers keep thinking the US had a "surplus" during the great clintonian responsible dot com boom. When clinton was inaugurated we were 4,188,092,107,183.60 in debt when he left we were 5,727,776,738,304.64 in debt. That does not equal a surplus even by fuzzy math. Government - Debt to the Penny (Daily History Search Application) is a great tool.

"You forgot the complete dismantlement of our 2nd ammnendment rights we now face." No sir I didn't. That what I was talking about, I've been thinking of it everyday for many months. I am from western Maryland, so I know the way Md. thinks about guns. Lets say they have a friend in the White Hiouse now. Two counting the VP, what am I saying, his whole staff is antigun. I'm curious on when it will start,
I would guess right after the Taliban bill of right are done.

No I didn't call Palin a Hillbilly, she just seemed "off" to me. I can't really explain it, but just that feeling you get when you see or meet someone and you think there's something not quite right with them. I had the same thing. And with Obama I feel the same way but to a lesser extent. I don't trust any politicians to begin with, but this time around it was just bad...

Honestly I've been seriously contemplating a expat move. Only thing I need for work is a airport close to home, so wherever that is I can go. I'm tired of cold weather, and other BS, figured maybe a nice island to move to would be good. I have a friend in Bali that's offered up a spot at his resort, I'd just have to pay for the flight and move our stuff there (the misses).

Your taxes bought that cigar.
I hope it he didn't waste a good cuban cigar. Maybe it was one of those swisher sweets.

No more political arguing. "mission accomplished":D

No matter who we personally wanted in office we have a President to support and a country that is at a critical point in history. We can argue all day about this and that and never resolve anything. We can make a difference ourselves in our communities and places where we reside that would far outweigh any political move or statement. Let's stop bickering and get on with changing things as a united country.

all this talk about hope and change... im still waiting to know what they are...

Bush needs to be remembered in the Clinton context; holding up LAX 4 hours for a haircut!?, getting "serviced" by an intern in the Oval Office, governing by focus groups, having his unelected wife declare that they are joint presidents!?! I disagree with the invasion of Iraq, but he was his own man. He didn't get caught up in the D.C. crap, he governed by his principles. You can disagree w/ those principles, but at least you knew them. He was a breath of fresh air after Clinton; Obama God bless Pres. Obama.

We need to remember that Gore won the popular vote in 2000. It took the supreme court voting along ideological lines (interesting the conservatives on the court were overriding states rights of all things) that stopped the recount and allowed Bush to claim Florida and win in the electoral college to become president.

There was no mandate for change of parties.

Gore was the one noted for consulting on polling.

This may be just a huge coincidence(sp?) but when the new pres. took office it actually lightly snowed here in Charleston. Weird.

Ok Bunky. Bush stole the election in 2000. The same people Clinton loaded the courts with picked Bush. Maybe you can help me out. Define "change" for me. Not what you think it means, have read it to be, how the man using the word so much defines it.
