Tried Aquawax today. :)

It's the only thing I can use on black at a car show w/o streaking (well, it and its sibling products).

That's awesome. My current LSP is Dodo Purple Haze and it seems any detail spray/spray wax with carnuba hazes. The exception is Meg's Ulimate Quick Wax, Optimum Detailer, and UWW Waterless Mix. Can't wait to try Aquawax now.

Aquawax is one of those products that you finally try and say "OH MAN, I should have bought this years ago". Save yourself some time and money....get the gallon first, you won't regret it. It does improve in both looks and slickness the next day. I do recall reading some years back that use should be limited to twice a month, more often may mute the flake slightly in some colors. I've never tested that so I can't say.

I just wish I could find a local source here in PA. I emailed CarQuest to see if they could tell me if there is a store in my area that carries Duragloss and received no response.
Maybe I'll try emailing Duragloss directly.

Have you tried NAPA?

i just picked up 3 bottles of aquawax at my local carquest store. great product, cheap cost. :xyxthumbs:

davidc - so these "spray on waxes" can be used in between details as is or right after a wash? Or a quick LSP of sorts?

I have used it as a drying aide and heaven forbid after using the California Duster with great results. If you have a light colored vehicle the 932 with Aqua Wax mixed as a QD leaves a slick shiny surface also. I have tried the 932 on the Daughters Midnight metallic blue at the recommended dilution and it streaks like crazy.

I have used it weekly (probably a waste) and I have not seen any issues on Driftwood (Silvery), Desert Sand or Midnight metallic blue.

Call me crazy, but I don't like the tight beads Aqua Wax produces

^^^ Hey crazy! LOL.... Yea it does bead pretty tight, but as soon as i back my truck out of the driveway, 70% rolls off and after 35 MPH most of the beads are gone...

I did try the DG detailer mixed with AW and i had some streaking issues on my black metallic paint. I since use 100% AW once a month after a wash and only use the DG detailer to remove bird bombs. If you have flake in your paint... just wait untill the next morning when the sun hits the paint!

I've tried the local NAPA's in SWPA and they only carry a limited line of DG, more of the marine line...

Swanicyouth - where in PA do you live?

What part of the state are you in? They have it locally here at Carquest, I actually was looking it yesterday but went with Meg's Ultimate Quik Wax which is what I went there for. After reading this thread maybe I should have went with the AW lol...Can't go wrong with the UQW though...
