Hey everyone I just used Menzerna fg400 for the first time and had to write a post!!!

A little background on me: I started detailing a few years ago and was using meguires ultimate compound and polish and it worked great kind of lost interest in detailing due to work and money constraints but now I have extra time and extra money so I bought some new stuff.. I got chemical guys vss scratch swirl remover and theyre p40 polish along with polish+sealant those products severely dissapointed me. I am not here to bash products, maybe I was doing something wrong with chemicals stuff I don't know?!?! I emailed them with no response.

So with the recommendation of menzerna on youtube and on autogeek.net I bit the bullet and bought new compound and polish MENZERNA!!!! I got to say it is seriously amazing I used it for about 5 minutes and I am blown away. I previously buffed out my wing on my car chemical guys vss scratch and swirl remover and polish and had horrible results I had micro marring/swirls that wouldnt come out no matter what I tried.

Went back over it with Menzerna fg400 and it not only compounded the swirls out but it finished like a polish. I worked it for about 2 minutes and it stayed moist the entire time granted its a small wing but I had ZERO dusting and it wiped clean flawlessly. followed it up with fg3000 and it is the best results I've had yet! I am so excited about this stuff i had to write this!!

Anyone else have this total excitement the first time they used menzerna? DO SHARE!:dblthumb2:

Yeah FG400 is AMAZING!!

Severely neglected abused beat down Chevy before:

After 1 step with Rupes LHR15 LC Orange Pad and Menzerna FG400!

The owner of this truck never washes it, it took me 4 years to get him to break down and let me detail it. He spends $48,000 on a truck and he wouldn't invest a little $$ to take care it. LOL. You should have seen the mud in the inside, glad I don't do interiors! I used to work with the guy, that bird poop was on the truck for a month in the hot Florida sun and obviously still there when I did the truck.

Gone now! And swirl free in one step with FG400 and the Rupes 15!!

stuff is awesome what was his reaction?

finish it with sf4000/sf4500 and it will take it up a notch.

You used FG400 and followed it with FG 3000? You mean FF 3000?

i got to pony u and get some there stuff to try.

I invested a lot of $ in other stuff until I found Menzerna.

The only thing I've really not wrapped my head around is that a lot of folks do 400, then 1500/2500 and 4000/4500. Where do the other products best work in the lineup? These ranges for me have covered most.

And Powerlock, don't even start me on how easy on/off that sealant is. :xyxthumbs:

I have chemical guys sealant it seems to be ok. I'm going to wait till I'm out of it before I get the power lock..

Hey, if it works for you by all means use it up! All too hard to buy into the next thing and you have partial bottles of 10 things sitting around.

I have used Menzerna CL with good luck...I am a carnaube type of guy I like the look ..........

FG400 is a gem. It is unbelievable how well it can cut and finish. Does not surprise me it fixed the CG leftovers.

SF4000 is the follow up polish for FG400.

Im sure you know, I almost exclusively use Menzerna. Im sure you have seen my thread on getting the most from the 3401, Hybrid pads, and Menzerna products.

Yes sir.

FG400 and SF4000 is a fantastic one two punch. If you want more depth and gloss perform a third step with a finer pad and SF4500.

PF2500 is a fantastic one step polish.

I have chemical guys sealant it seems to be ok. I'm going to wait till I'm out of it before I get the power lock..

Give that stuff away.

Order some PowerLock...

Mike, you use a black, blue or gold with the 4500 as a LSP? And at what speed? I'd assume the difference from 4000 to 4500 has to be very slight, no?

Being that I still have all the original release Hybrid pads, (even before the yellow pad release) I will finish out with SF4500 on the black pad.

So for me, I polish with SF4000 on white and then move to SF4500 on the black pad. I also run SF4500 at speed 5. If I am really trying to squeeze the maximum from the surface I will slowly bring the speed down to 1 as finish.

SF4500 on the black pad does make a difference over just SF4000 on white.

Appreciate the feedback. Guess I'm ordering a quart of 4500 also!

lol is it that much better??
after you try power lock you will be writing another review on how much you loved it. lol
I recently just tried it myself and just loved how it went on and came off. And left such a slick feel to the car. Now i just have to see the longevity of it. BY the way i felt the same way as you when i first tried fg 400. And to be honest i have used it on black cars and didnt even go to a polish. i felt it finished so well.
