tried menzerna fg400 for the first time

I have a 2014 black Lexus gs350. The paint is soft paint and was wondering what the Menzerna recommendation is for super soft paint. There are some swirls and some scratches (from a vacuum hose that I didn't realize was touching the paint) so I was thinking sf4500 black pad to start and then from there si1500 on a white. I have all the hybrids - orange, blue, white, yellow, black and in the arsenal fg400, si1500, pf2500, sf2500, powerlock and 3in1. I used 3in1 last week and was blown away by correction and sealant properties. Totally all in with Menzerna now. I used to use zanio, but think powerlock with color lock which I need to order is probably incredible. Now that I am doing my own ride I want to be extra careful since flex and Menzerna are an incredible combination but you need to be careful. Any recommendations much appreciated.

Well I can tell you I have an 08 Lexus IS 250. I have used fg400 with great results. I really didn't find the paint to be very soft. Actually nice to work on. I don't think using 4500 will do anything to get out your swirls and scratches. You may want to at least try the sf2500 first and if you need more just go to fg400. In my opinion you can't go wrong with fg400

lol is it that much better??

It is.

After you try power lock you will be writing another review on how much you loved it. lol
I recently just tried it myself and just loved how it went on and came off. And left such a slick feel to the car. Now i just have to see the longevity of it. BY the way i felt the same way as you when i first tried fg 400. And to be honest i have used it on black cars and didnt even go to a polish. i felt it finished so well.

This.

SF4500 on a black pad will not do anything other than put a nice shine on your swirls and scratches.

Remember, you can vary the cut level of a compound or polish simply by switching out to a less aggressive pad.

Menzerna 3n1 contains the same abrasive content from PF2500.

For the affected areas do a test spot with say PF2500 on a white hybrid and go from there.

Glad to hear of your experiences.

Thanks for providing feedback on what worked on your black Lexus.

Menzerna is re-naming their entire line

Google: Menzerna Product Name Changes

Yes sir. Not sure how I feel about this. Saw the label change in person when I attended the Menzerna tech academy. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...nding-menzerna-headquarters-tech-academy.html
