It is and makes life easier but can also be used using the 20th century method of washing your car with soap and water, LOL.

Now that you have it down pat ,google the Garry Dean single bucket wash method. Garry shows how to use a single bucket for both a conventional and rinseless wash. Less trouble , faster and there is no way for the water to become contaminated with dirt. He has a video out for both type of washes.
