Hi guys, i have an issue that im tired of spending money on to figure out my self. For a while ive been trying to find a dressing for plastic trim that wont run. Every product i use so far ends up running down the paint if it rains or encounters any moisture for that matter.

Here is what ive tried so far.

-Mothers back to black
-Megs hyper dressing
-armor all
-black onyx tire dressing
-megs #40

I havent used a dedicated trim dressing aside for back to black which is probably half my problem. Mainly because ive looked for a product that can be used on things like tires as well. Any way what is a good trim dressing that wont run. Thanks guys.

Sonax trim restorer gel. Finest non permanent product on the market.

For a more "permanent" fix (years):
1.) Gatorback
2.) ValuGard E.T.R. Kit III

Ultima tire and trim guard. And it lasts months.

Wolfgang exterior trim sealant has been the best semi-permanent dressing that I've used. Dries to the touch, gloss is adjustable, and it absolutely does not run. Lasts a good long time as well. In fact, I applied it to my tonneau cover last November before winter and it still beads water today!

I've used Griots long lasting tire dressing and got good results. It's only been a few weeks but it's held up and looks the same as it did when I first applied it.

I agree, what I do is apply it, let it sit on the trim for a half hour and buff it off, smooth, not grabby and yes you control the shine.
I did my RAV4, was dressed a few months ago and still looks like I the day I applied it.

Good stuff, oh, a couple of drops goes very far.

I should add this. Ill be using this for my detailing business. So cost of product is a factor.

How do you guys feel about carpro Perl for trim?

Although I like perl very much and use it almost exclusively for tires and fender wells....It just doesn't meet my durability and longevity expectations for use on rubber and plastic trim. Bite the bullet and get the 16oz bottle of WG trim sealant and you'll be all set for quite a while! A little goes a loooong way! :-)

look at the GTechniq T1 tyre and trim, or the C4 permanent trim restorer. i have used both and they both work real good and last for a long time and don't run
