I tried to use an aerospace product known for protecting plastic for UV protection to rubber & metal window trim and the plastic cowl area under the windshield wipers on a BMW M3.
(I applied the product on a towel before wiping down the trim.)
I thought this product was not supposed to contain harsh chemicals and my trim looked perfectly brand new before using it, but after applying the product then washing my car a few weeks afterwards, these pieces are now spotted and looks like certain areas have dried out and faded.
(Trim completely dried off after washing, so they are not water spots).
The camera flash make the problem appear worse than the naked eye, but how can I fix this to make the trim look new again, is there another product I should use for the trim that will not actually cause it to deteriorate faster, or should I not use any type of product at all to protect new window trim and just be careful not to get wax on them?
