Trim stains, how to fix...?

Hey everyone, I usually would not ask a simple sounding question but I am tryign to wokr on this car, new Toyota Solara, and the owner has already put a ton of the black trim restorer/trim sealant that leaves the blotchy oil marks on it. I commonly use APC and clean then Meg's m-40 or 303 AP. I have not been able thus far to get any of the heavier blotchy spots out. Any thoughts or advise you guys have to share is greatly appreciated. I'll have pictures soon if needed.

I use APC and a toothbrush.... but if you said you used that then Im stumped
Maybe a stronger dilution of APC?
