Hi Mike newb here trying to wade trough all the opinions and information. I have only waxed her once with fusion wax and then used 3m hand glaze. I am trying to figure out when to apply a sealant I have Backfire sealant . Do I wash wax then seal or seal then wax. Also what about ceramic coatings looking a CQ looks like a good product also HD speed all in one. I wish there were a one day class for guys who just want to do their own cars. Thanks for any help.
Thanks Tom

Take a look at Carpro Essense applying it with a Carpro gloss pad via machine. Will clean up and add protection all in one.

Wowser! That thing is freakin' GORGEOUS! If you are stuck on still using a wax, it's sealant first, let cure anywhere from 8-24 hours, then top it with a wax. A sealant doesn't last long on TOP of a wax...it's always sealant first, then wax.

This. Wax on top of sealant but more importantly ...FREAKIN GORGEOUS!

Not stuck on wax just don't know what else to use I'm not sure of the ceramic coatings don't want to mess it up.

3D HD Poxy is a wax and sealant in one..has a great look

Polish Angel Viking coat is a great option..best look I've Come across on a single stage paint job.
I have Essance bit haven't used it yet
Viking coat and Essense are both supposed to last to a year

Wax goes on top of sealant. With that paint I'd absolutely use Souveran. That's a no-brainer.

Basically, the process is to compound and/or polish to remove any defects, using the mildest method to get a mirror finish to the paint. If you do that, you don't need glaze at all, which basically just fills in micro marring.

Once your paint is free of swirl marks or any defects you seal it. Then you wax it.

BUT, sealant and wax are sort of the same thing and you can use one or the other, or both. If you use both, put the wax over the sealant.

Sealant tends to give longer protection and has more of a shiny/glossy finish. Wax tends to have a warmer, deeper finish. So it depends on the look you want. Most guys love black cars for the really deep wet look that only black can achieve. And Souveran is the king of that look. Fuzion is also a great hybrid wax (being a combination of wax and sealant) but it gives a brighter look and is designed more for highlighting metallic flake.
