I am seeking non CCS 4" pads for my PC7424.

I like the 4" size better though because between my 2007 Mustang (with stripes) and my wife's 2008 Jeep Wrangler, there are not many expansive surfaces, rather the sections I need to polish/apply to are smaller.

I have used LC CCS pads in both 6.5" and 4" size. They are not my favorite because the small pockets hold the material in the pockets and away from the working surface of the pad, causing me to have not as much working time as I would like (material will dry too quickly).

Now I want to get new pads, but the only smaller pads I can seem to find are the LC CCS pads for my PC7424.

I am seeking suggestions on a selection of smaller pads (4" or so) I can buy (cutting, polish, sealer apply), that have a smooth surface, and not the CCS surface.

Thank you in advance.

Edit: I was doing some searching on pad washers and saw the Cyclo 4" pads which appear like what I am looking for. Mike, what do you say?

Thank you. I was looking and it seems they only come in the cutting orange type, and the 3.5" only come in red and white. I know it sound AR (I'll bet you understand), but I like a full compliment of foam pad options.

I understand completely. And like you, enjoy an array of pads. Sadly, I have not seen any other colored flat pads sold by AG except the CCS ones, which I have and use.

I think I may have seen some 4" flat ones sold elsewhere, but honestly can remember what site I was on at the time. Hope you have GL in finding what you are looking for. If I run across them again, I will be sure to let you know! :xyxthumbs:

The Cyclo 4 Inch Premium Pads are a good choice for flat pads. They have a nice selection of foams to choose from and can be used a Porter Cable with a 2 7/8" or 3.5" backing plate.

White Finishing Pad: The white pad is Cyclo’s softest pad. It is intended for final buffing and wax application. It will render a glossy shine without polishing. This pad has no cut.

Blue Polishing Pad: The blue foam pad is the perfect pad for light polishing on any surface. Use it to apply wax for a fine gloss finish, or use it with a light finishing polish or prewax cleaner. The blue pad has slightly more texture than the white pad.

Green Polishing Pad: The green pad is more aggressive than the white pad. It has a mild cut for gentle polishing. Use your favorite polish or pre-wax cleaner to remove light oxidation and bring out a bright, glossy shine.

Orange Compounding & Polishing Pad: The orange pad is the all-around swirl remover, polisher, and paint deoxidizer. Made of high density foam, this pad will correct most mild to moderate paint imperfections and polish metal and chrome.

Yellow Cutting Pad: The yellow cutting pad is intended for more aggressive swirl and scratch removal. It is made of dense foam and will work well with compounds and advanced swirl removers. This pad is comparable to our Wolfgang™ yellow cutting pad.

Yellow Scrubbing Pad: The yellow scrubber is the most aggressive pad. It is the highest density foam and will take care of your most stubborn surface problems. Use this pad to remove bugs, tar, sap, and as an aggressive paint deoxidizer.
