Trouble using PERL

I've used PERL on 3 of our cars and both boats. I tried at first using it at about 2:1 for the tirm and it was a bit spotty or streaky. I then reapplied using at 3:1 with no issues. It did darken everything on the cars and worked wonders on the fenders, handlebars and gas caps on the boats(jet skis), one of them has a gas cap that was almost white and it's pretty close to original. One thing though it does seem to get way more even coverage if you wipe and buff. I applied, wipe off and then buff it down and put a second coat on it later( an hour or two) no issues at all after figuring out dilutions and process apply, wipe then buff off.

I wanted to bump this to the top.

I bought my first bottle of PERL, and diluted 1:3 and 1:1 using distilled water.

With the old tires on the Jeep, I was left with a nice subdued shine after 2 coats- the tires literally soaked up the first coat!

I used a MF applicator and went 1:3 dilution on the plastic fender flares, and came away with streaking.

Is it best to "buff" it while it is still "wet"? I had good results going that route, but had issues trying to buff one of the other flares after it had already dried.

you got it :dblthumb2: apply and then buff right away. dont wait for it. depending on the material you can experiment a little

Try CG G6 hyper coat. It darkens trim more than UTTG and is pretty durable, IME.
Wolfgang ETS darkens a bit more than UTTG and both products' durability will blow G6 away, if the surface is propperly prepped. that said, neither does all that much in terms of restoring faded trim.
