Truck got broken into

I'm parked in my neighbors driveway right now since he moved and wanted me to leave one of our vehicles in his driveway so it looked like somebody was home. I've been peeking in and out every 30 minutes or so. So help me if I catch somebody out there, they will be sorry:mad:
 
That sucks man, like mentioned some rich kid(s) whos parents are to busy to pay attention is acting out. Or the dumiest theif in Boca is watching you lol.

Sad part is this is a very wealthy and successful area...yet you still have kids who act like their straight outta Compton:rolleyes:. I remember we were at a bar one night and some cops sat next to us and ended up buying us drinks and chilling. Told some funny stories about the "hard ass" kids they'd get calls on for causing trouble and here they pull up to the parents mansions on the beach and water....yeh...gangsters alright LOL. Put their ass in Compton or Harlem and lets see how hard they are.

I really want to catch this #######...I feel naked w/o my detector:mad:

There are some wealthy kids by me who are always getting in trouble. They broke in to a house down the street and a neighbor's boat. Their parrent 's have a lot of money but just let their kids go wild. In my opinion they are just wealthy trash. Everyone in the neighborhood wishes they would move somewhere else.

Sufer, you drive like a grandma and really didn't need that radar detector. :eek: It still very upsetting to have your stuff stolen.:(

I hear you Gary. Sounds like "new money" to me where the father is so busy working that he's never home and the mother likely is out shopping all day long.

Results? Kids running wild! Trust me, I've known quite a few of them in my lifetime. I'm sorry to say that I've dated one before as well, she was a huge mistake. All messed up in the head.
 
How do you think 'Boca' people can afford these big fat houses... they send the kids out at night to steal ...
 
That SUCKS! I'm sorry to hear that. I bet they were just young punks who don't know there XXX from a hole in the ground. The detector was the only thing they knew that would be a $$$ value. ALWAYS LOCK YOUR DOORS. I have a buddy who told me he usually leaves is apartment unlocked in the afternoon when he goes to work. I about slapped him through the phone.
My wifes father recently gave me a Passport 8500. It kept giving him problems so instead of paying to send it in he just went and bought a Valentine. This thing is awesome when it works. Out of the blue it will just start throwing errors. It has issues with heat and voltages, which from the research I've done is quiet common with the Passports. This damn thing cost $400. Like I said its awesome,but I don't think I could spend that much money on one of these. I rather just watch my speed. No matter where I go I always take it down and store it away. Altima's have huge windshields so you see everything.
Anyway sorry for the rambling, I hope you catch them and break there fingers.

Geez we aren't even allowed radar detectors - they are illegal. Get pulled over and it is gone!
Guess you really ticked off your last girlfriend, eh Surfer? Check on eBay under her user name!!!
 
Dang, sorry to hear that Surfer, I hope you fine out who done it. Years ago my wife honda and my old truck got broke into, they got cell phones, radio system, CD, toolbox and money out of them. And they done a lot of damage. Never heard who done it. And a lot of neighbors cars got broke into that night too. It sucks, I know!!!

Lone_Star, good one. I sure that brought a smile to Surfer face. I thought it was funny. We all need smiles.:D
 
those V1's are great and theyre worth quite a bit so im not surprised at all it got jacked.....its not some walmart detector or anything ya know... sorry to hear about it but atleast they didnt get your wallet.... both of my credit cards had to get cancelled this week because of fraudulent charges on both of them. no fun at all
 
Gated communities dont mean anything, I always get into my buddies complexes who have a gate. I have a feeling its someone who often frequents the complex that stole your detector, keep an eye out for anyone who has a V1!

Crazy part is it had to be somebody that literally went around and pulling every door handle..which I had left my truck unlocked by accident...like damn, what are the chances of that. My community is hard to get into though...#### I've had to show my license before even after I tell them I live there and they see the address, they still run it through the search computer thingy, take down my license plate number lol (my truck sensor sometimes glitches and won't open the gate so gotta go to the guardhouse).

I'm sorry to hear that Surfer, but don't think it's crazy that they only took the V1. There are groups that specifically target that exact model radar for theft. It fetches over $300 per unit in ebay even the 1st gen ones like you had.

I accidentally left mine in the window of my 95 M3 at the mall I used to manage at. I was working until late into the night and at 11pm when I came out, my driver's side window was smashed out and all my cd's, clothes, etc were all left untouched, but the V1 sure was stolen. I felt so violated of privacy after that and the damage to my window and paint was pretty bad. Note to self, don't ever forget to take it down again (I bought another one, they are great).

All our vehicles have one, won't use anything else. And yeh mine was a 1st gen. With the guys we race with, you'll hardly find any in the clubs that go w/o a V1. I could careless what reports say about Passport etc, theres a reason all of us run it.

Anything new in store for the Valentine?
