Like the title says. My truck needs help. I need to do a complete detail. Clay, swirl remove, polsih/wax.

Can someone give me a rundown of the correct order, and what are some of the better of each product.

Oh, I do have a PC7424. Also, which pad per step?

Sorry for such a demanding ?, but i wanna do it right!!!

TIA, Brooks

well not being able to see what the paint looks like so it is tough to tell you what to do however if you have spiderwebs and not swirl marks they are much tougher to get out. spiderwebs are the circular scratches that come from bad towels and wiping down a vehical that is not cleaned properly swirlmarks come from buffing these are easy to remove

Any more help on this. I really need to detail it, but would like more opinions!!

Do you have pix of the truck that shows the problems?

With little info to go on, a recommendation woud be Meg's 105/205. LC Purple Foam wool, a Orange Pad, White and then a Finishing pad.

You may want to get a yellow one as well.

If you don't want Meg's, Menzerna Super Intensive & Super Finish. If you want to do a 3 stage, it has been recommended to use the Menzerna 85rd with a finishing pad such as a LCS blue.

You may want to order some Power Gloss just to have on hand if the scratches are severe and the SIP isn't getting you the results you are after.

If you go the Menzerna route, here's a good product link give all the specs and pad recommendations.

Menzerna Polishing Compounds Products, menzerna polishes, menzerna car polish, menzerna nano polish, menzerna final polish, menzerna compound,

Forgot the standard disclaimer. Start with a small test spot and try the combinations above until you find the right process to get the paint where you want it and then tackle the rest of the car.

first, wash it... including rims, wheel wells, and engine bay...

and do the rims, wheel wells, and engine with something like Amazing Roll Off... i usually do the those before i wash the car...

clay it...

use a polish like meg's 105 or Menzerna SIP..

follow up with Meg's 205 or Menzerna Nano...

then use a carnauba wax...

or a sealant then wax... either way.

then wheel polish and tire spray...

Pictures Please

Thanks guys. The pictures will have to wait until i can clean the truck. The weather here has been horrible for at least two weeks, not to mention it's grinding (sugarcane harvest) so the roads are full mud.

This is all I have at the moment. Sorry, it doesn't really show anything!! And it was a cell phone pic
