I got hired for a mobile detailing company. I am truly blessed and I can't be more thankful for this opportunity.

congrats dude
my friend was hired at a body shop to detail. everything he was telling me was completely wrong
That's awesome.
How long have you been detailing?
Only a few months. I will be washing cars no wheelin' yet. :xyxthumbs: but I am comfortable at that.
Like what?

Hes the type of guy that will use a rotary and leave holograms, wax residue, kill the CC, and still say hes a great detailer.. that kinda guy
Im assuming the shop is just as bad
Could be. I know a particular body shop in my area who does great paintwork, looks like candy paint even if it's OEM colors, but their wash jobs screw it all up. Not sure if I've already mentioned that before. The quality (or lack of) of a wash job makes or breaks the detail, in my opinion.
Dang, that really sucks.

I could go on all day about it because I'm nuts, lol.
Just yesterday I spent about 7 or 8 hours polishing my 2013 Scion tC, just a light polish, and I think I milked out every last bit of gloss in the paint as best as I could. Then I glazed the paint with Chemical Guys EZ Creme glaze and sealed the paint with Menzerna Power Lock, two coats applied by hand with a foam applicator about an hour or so apart. I used to apply the MPL by machine, but when done by hand, the coats aren't as thin, but I still apply thin coats and it seems to stick much, much better to the clear coat. It does become harder to remove, but that means it's sticking. Much better water beading, I've noticed. And after a week of various weather, morning dew and moisture, the paint rinses almost pristine clean with a regular hose and nozzle set to "shower" mode. Makes all the difference when washing and maintaining the paint.
Wow I bet it came out great and stays looking great.
