hey everyone first time poster

I will be detailng my car this weekend (V8 Genesis, Platinum Silver on Black) and will be using some products that i have never used and wanted to get some feedback on the best way to apply\layer them. I have UPGP and Wolfang DGPS 3.0 I will be putting on. How would layer these? Should I finish with a coating of FX (kills on a silver car)?. The car is brand new and the car's paint is very smooth, would you clay?

Thanks for your opinions.

Not sure about the products, as I have not used them before. However, I would recommend claying the car before doing any kind of polish, or sealant/wax. Even though the car is new, it still may have rail dust or other contaminants on it from transport and time driving.

The DGPS needs 12 hours of cure time between coats and has to remain moisture free for that time.

Clay first? By all means.

Essentially you have two products both of which are paint sealants. Wolfgang is a wipe on and wipe off whereas UPGP is a wipe on walk away product. Pick one and use it.

Are you referring to Mother's FX Synwax?? Yet another sealant? I'd say you have major redundancy in your product selections that are totally unneeded. Again, pick one and use it. My choice would be the Wolfgang but that's neither here nor there.

I say clay and then use the Wolfgang Sealant ... relax and enjoy Fathers Day.

I would clay To get the rail dust and the fallout of the car. IMHO all brand new cars should get clayed...

thanks everyone. clay and Wolfgang it is. nothing in between the clay and sealant step?

Assuming that you are not going to machine polish the car another wash/dry may be in order. If the claying step comes out uber clean with zero residue then go for the Wolfgang.
